Class: Arithmancy
House: Hufflepuff
Project description : so I plan to make our prd costumes for next year, & my Mom's will be part of her Christmas gift, before I make a full size, I now always make a prototype for the doll.  When I make the real one, I will trap the lace in seams rather than trying to get it to sit up on the edge of the neck.  I will also put elastic in before finishing sleeves.

Class/Challenge/House Pride:Astronomy
House:Hufflepuff
Project Name: Get well bouquet
Brief Description: I decided instead of buying flowers I would use the money I'd spend on them to buy dinner or groceries, so instead, I waited until the sun came up on the morning my Mom was coming home from the hospital and went out early, while still in my pajamas to pick flowers and create an arrangement of my own,  I did include a mylar butterfly balloon and card as well.
Project Picture:

Class/Challenge/House Pride:Detention - June
House:Hufflepuff
Project Name: Cotton sheets
Brief Description: Due to her surgery, Mom spends most of the day in bed, that bed still had flannel sheets and our temperatures reached 30+ degrees.  All of the cotton sheets are still in storage. I had 6 metres of beige cotton that was 110" wide, so I whipped up a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and 4 pillow cases that are light and airy and are much more comfortable to lie in all day.  Forgot to take a pic before we put the quilt on, but hopefull you get the picture
Project Picture:

class/challenge(if available): Floo powder : Emerald City
House:Hufflepuff
Project Name: Dress for Mom #2
Brief Description: Mom just had back surgery, and it's been 30 degrees, but her shorts weren't very comfy, so I made her a couple dresses to look and feel the best she can during her healing process.  She hasn't worn it yet, if I think of it when she does, I'll take a better picture.

Class/Challenge:  Headmistress Challenge june /SOAR : fall 2015
House:Hufflepuff
Project Name: Dress for my Mom
Brief Description: My Mom just had back surgery, and found wearing pants difficult as she can't bend or twist for the next 3 months, so to help her feel better I made this light weight dress for her.

Project Name: Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary costume

Brief Description: (how it fits the requirements, pattern/techniques used, any fun tips, etc.)  This years TOPS convention theme was "Mother Goose", so after some research, I decided to dress up as Mary, Mary Quite contrary, must admit the 9 ladies was a bit tricky until I found buttons and the watering can.  I am in the green dress.
Project Picture:

On a side note, next years theme is "the rush is on" - gold rush, so if anyone has a plus size saloon girl pattern they know of, please let me know,

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Alchemy
SPEW: (If your item is for charity, enter that here; if not leave blank or add n/a.)
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Flower crown
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: For our annual TOPS convention, I dressed up as Mary, Mary quite Contrary, well I wanted a floral crown, but could not find the right wire available at the stores I had to shop in.  Enter FIRE -  gave my nieces sparklers at our campfire, and let them play and have fun.  The next day I found the 2 wires that had been burnt cleanest.  Connected them, and hot glued all of the flowers in place.

House: Hufflepuff
Project Name:Hoody
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: Well we were going on a 6 hour road trip, and since weve had summer like weather, my normal travel hoody was going to be way to warm (which makes me sick) and I hate wearing jackets on car trips(theyre just to noisy and uncomfortable), so I whipped this one up a few days before we left.  Comfy and with some gravel, no car sickness, much better travel.

Class: Care of magical creatures
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Owl buddies
Project Page Link: N/A
Brief Description: This is the lovable, huggle owl.  he can be kept in bed, no need for a cage.  He survives on love, and can carry around your prized possessions in his tummy pocket.  I created these to do with a group of students grades 3-6.  One of the coolest kids managed to get into the group (this girl is in grade 6, has read the entire HP series 12+ times, loves the books better than the movies, wears her Hogwarts cape to school, and has a Hogwarts jacket that I covet), and suggested if the owls were smaller, they could double as Hogwarts delivery owls - put the message in the tummy and toss them to your siblings room down the hall.  so of course I immediately created a smaller version:)

Class/Challenge/House Pride:Apparition
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Mass choir outfit
Brief Description: Every December, each elementary school sends about 40 grades 4-6 students to participate in a mass choir.  It's beautiful, and one of my favourite ways to kick off the season.  This year Miss G made the cut and got to participate, so she needed a fancy outfit that was white blouse and black bottoms, so I created this little number.

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Arithmancy
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Winter duvet cover
Brief Description: I dislike the texture of comforters and quilts but love the look, so I piece the top together like a traditional quilt, and then back it with a nice cotton sheet, to get the look of a quilt and the feel of a duvet:)

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Muggle studies
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Miss E's birthday pie
Brief Description: well Miss E , and most of our house don't really like pie, so we took a page out of Hagrids book, and decorated something for her birthday ourselves.  We used a delicious pumpkin pie, and decorated with whip cream and sprinkles and gel icing, along with 3 tiny dolls/

Class/Challenge/House Pride: Transfiguration
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Sewing kits
Brief Description: This kits where my nieces Christmas presents, I redrew patterns in their sizes on to wrapping paper and put them together with the fabrics they chose out, and wrapped the thread/elastic/lace in pretty paper and packaged it all up to look like a store bought kit.  Miss E is almost done transfiguring her package in to a nighty!
