1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: A Simon Tam....tam (Firefly hat!) on: June 21, 2010 04:25:52 PM
This is just the shape that I've been looking for a hat my niece wants me to knit. I've looked at the pattern that it was based on, but did you make some mods to cause it be less "tam" than the original?

Would love to know what changes you made as I think I could adapt it to the hat she has in mind. Thanks!

Wow, your mom is so talented! How great that she is able to create such beautiful knits for you.

This is cute and looks very useful. I agree that the varigated muddies up the pattern.

Thanks for the link to Classic Elite- some good stuff there.

This is truly a stunning sweater. Very well done. And I like the extra length better, it seems to balance the fullness of the pleats.

And since I love it and it is named after me I think it may be an upcoming project Smiley

That is adorable!

This is adorable! Thanks so much for sharing. Please let us know what size needles you used.

I am envisioning making it into a change purse: add a zipper in the bunny's back and a lining. I think my daughter and neices would love that- and I have a whole year to do that  Smiley
