They're all adorable outfits! I especially love the pink and green outfit and the little bee outfit. How fun to dress your little sweetheart in clothes you've made for her!

And I know what you mean about getting the little one to smile. Mine flashes the most dazzling smile in the world -- until the second the camera begins to make its warm-up noises, at which point she takes on the "deer in the headlights" look as she studies the camera. Goodbye, smile!

I'm new to sewing but would like to make this skirt for my daughter. Can you explain what you mean by the quote above, and also what you mean by sewing the squares into strips and then cutting them the other way?
