1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!! Nemo top and hat for my son on: August 22, 2008 09:17:43 AM
I made this shirt and hat for my son for our upcoming trip to Disney. He just loves Nemo!!! He's 6 and my husband seems to think its a little babyish for him but my son loves it!! And I'm willing to keep him little as long as possible.... (kids grow up way to fast now a days)

This is the front of the shirt

This is the back of the shirt.. I used coordinating Nemo fabric to match the front.

Here is the hat.. I cut squares of each character from the fabric I used on the back of the shirt.

Thanks for looking... and all comments are greatly appreciated...
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / 2new dresses with matching dolly dresses on: August 17, 2008 11:40:59 AM
OK, so I decided to make my niece some more dresses before the summer is over and use up some of my light weight fabric. And then I thought how cute would it be to make matching dolly dresses to go with them. Well in my brain I thought 1/4 the size, 1/4 the work right? WRONG!! It took me just as long to make the dolly dresses as it did to make the full size dresses. Anyhoo... not such great action pics but my sister said she did the best she could... My niece is the dark haired little one (Gabbie) and the blond is her little friend.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / What a "HOOT" and back to school dresses on: August 13, 2008 06:21:03 PM
This is the first time I tried the Anna wrap dress pattern. I found it to be a very easy pattern. I also tried my hand at making a hat for the first time. I appliqued an Owl on the front of the dress and used the same fabrics from the hat. I am still very new to the whole applique thing but I am pleased with how it came out. The back to school dress is way! way! to busy.... I just loved the fabric in the store and thought it would be adorable for my niece's first day of school but I've definitely changed my mind now that its all together. (OH WELL) you can't win them all.LOL...This is only my second post to the site.... I love seeing all of the beautiful creations that you talented woman come up with!!! It is very inspiring!
