1  Re: The Office shirts in Stenciling: Completed Projects by flyinpurplemunkiez on: December 15, 2008 08:19:03 PM
They look good. Your lines are crisp and your paint looks even but you might want to invert your images. Jus tmy opinion but I think it would have looked even better like this:

This explains it better than I am: http://www.kittybuttons.com/tutorials/coordinating%20colors%20and%20inverting.jpg

2  The snake that ate & ate (#2) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by flyinpurplemunkiez on: May 21, 2007 10:13:25 PM
I needed some sort of crafty giftcard holder for Alycia's bday. So I made a 'snake that ate and ate'. You may recal (but probably not) that I made one in the past: http://j9crafts.livejournal.com/8843.html
Box with airholes:

What's inside?"...

Inside Mr. Snake are the remains of his past meals: dead fish, dead baby snake and bevmo giftcard.

3  Chocolate cake, pink cupcake, sea animals and a heart in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by flyinpurplemunkiez on: May 04, 2007 09:08:16 AM
At craft group last night we made charms out of polymer clay.

All the ones I did with stamps didn't photograph very well. Sad

These are all sea animals.

Cake with a strawberry on top and a cupcake with sprinkles.

4  Shrinky dinks: flowers, pirates and a pug in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by flyinpurplemunkiez on: May 04, 2007 09:06:14 AM
We made charms at craft group last night. It was my first time ever doing shrinky dinks. Smiley

With a quarter so you can see how tiny they are.

5  heart shaped photo-frame necklaces in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by flyinpurplemunkiez on: March 11, 2007 11:49:17 AM
Super quick/easy project. All I did was take them apart, removed the the stands on the back of the frames, added pictures (art by Kira Imai), glued ribbon on the inside of the frame and put them back together.

6  vintage romance cards in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by flyinpurplemunkiez on: February 23, 2007 10:57:48 AM
I made these valentines for a swap I was in. They're all made of vintage images found online, cut out with my border trim scissors and pasted onto a crumpled up tissue paper background. Most of them have felt details.

7  Mickey luvs Minnie (poofy skirt w/bow) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by flyinpurplemunkiez on: February 23, 2007 10:46:55 AM
The skirt was an experiment that I whipped up the night before Valentine's Day because I had a sudden need to have a v-day themed outfit.

Why one shouldn't sew at 3 am: I accidentally put the elastic in the front instead of the back, oh well.

It ties in a big bow in the back:

It's just that same stencil that everyone has been using but I like it...

9  Mr. Flatcat has really long legs in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by flyinpurplemunkiez on: January 06, 2007 11:05:41 AM
He's made out of two tshirts. His legs are tshirt sleves with the bottoms sewn closed. I painted his face on with a stencil I made. He's quite large and cuddly; makes a good pillow.

Before he got his stuffing:
