41  woo! Halter top from dad's shirt!! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Hltrskltr on: April 07, 2008 10:58:47 AM
Yay! I made this halter top from an old shirt of my dad's
the logo on the left boob is for NY state parks (my dad works for them)
yeah. I'm pretty happy with it, only I made the boobie pieces too small, so I can't really wear it in public, unless I wear a shirt under it : )
next time, I'll make them bigger : )
anyway, here's a pic:

maybe later I'll post one of my little sister wearing it, it would probably fit her better : )
anyway...
comments would be great!!

43  cute bag!! I'm so proud of myself in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Hltrskltr on: April 03, 2008 12:31:20 PM
I made a bag out of a pair of pants! yay! I took the bottom of one leg and cut it off
here's a pic:

then I cut the waistband off because it had a pretty floral print on the inside, and I used that for the straps and then sewed on a button
here's the finished product:

and an action shot:

tell me what you think!

44  wrap skirt to top in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Hltrskltr on: April 03, 2008 12:22:13 PM
I had a purple wrap skirt that I didn't really like, but I loved the fabric...it's all shiny with little mirrors sewn on....I love shiny things : )
anyway...I made it into a top...I like it, but sometimes it looks kind of flumpy....yes, I just invented that word : )
so, anyway, here's the pictures:

and here's one of the back:

the one of the back isn't a good picture...I'm slouching : )
if anyone knows how I could make it less flumpy please comment!

45  Dress to shirt thing : ) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Hltrskltr on: April 03, 2008 08:15:52 AM
Ok, so I had this blue silky chinese dress thing that my grandma gave me when I was like 3, and it finally fits me : )
but I don't really like it, so I cut it and hemmed it to make a shirt thing...
I know, not a whole lot of effort on my part, but I like it...
I'll post pics later....
