I'm so chuffed at how simple this was.
All I did was get a metre of fabric (I used cotton voile), sew together two sides so it formed a long tube, folded the tube in half so it was still a tube but half as long. Then I sewed along the top 1.5cm from the edge to make a casing for elastic, unpicked a bit of the first seam to make a hole for the elastic to go through, put the elastic in and tada! I have a half slip. 
I didn't even need to hem it because the bottom is a selvedge.

I have been needing a half slip for ages, but never got around to making one. But I love how simple and quick this was to make.














All I need is a broomstick. haha I wonder if I can hire one from a costume shop. Anyway, onto photos!
