I love your croptops! Is it your own design or did you use a pattern?
12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Altering a pattern with shoulder pads. on: May 29, 2012 06:10:31 PM

So I bought a pattern but it has shoulder pads. I really detest shoulder pads and I'd like not to add them, how do I alter the pattern so I don't need them? Or can I just leave it?

That's a gorgeous dress, and goes so well with the corset.
14  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Sketch book question on: February 19, 2012 02:37:38 AM

Hi all,

Just a quick question. When you use your sketchbook, do you draw on both sides of the paper or just one? I'm just curious. I tend to only draw on one side, but sometimes I think "Look at all that extra space I could be using." So yeah, do you use both sides or only one?

16  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: A shawl and a shrug (pic heavy) on: December 15, 2011 02:24:59 AM
Alas, I have been neglecting my blog of late, so you wont find it there.  I took this http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kelly-2 pattern and just stopped knitting at a shorter length. I also put a half treble crochet (double crochet) border around the bottom, because of the stockinette curl.

Oh I LOVE those spiders! The hat is fantastic.

20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A shawl and a shrug (pic heavy) on: December 03, 2011 03:57:27 PM
My first *finished* knitting projects.

I found some gorgeous 50% mohair 50% acrylic wool on sale, its lovely, I adore it. Cheesy I thought it make a nice shawl, and it did!

The pattern I used was really simple, and elegant. I used this one: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/basic-triangle-shawl

I also made a shrug/cropped jumper thing. I really like it and have got a few compliments on it.

The sleeves look a bit a funny, but I assure you that's only because there a no arms in them. Tongue

I was really unsure about how the yarn would look once knit up, but I really like how it turned out, its so soft. It's 70% wool 30% acrylic.

I'm a new knitter, so any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks for looking!
