11  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: my first attempt at steampunk! (with super-mini tute for vest) on: October 26, 2010 06:44:14 PM
I love your outfit!  My husband and I are both into steampunk and dressed in it for Halloween '08.  Your skirt is beautiful!  I love the color and the design with the pick-up tucks.  Fantastic job Smiley
12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Tank Top Recon with Overall Fastener! on: October 26, 2010 06:40:03 PM
I saw a girl wearing a tank top on Top Model several seasons ago that had a suspender fastener on one side.  It was really cute and I finally got around to making it myself.  I used a tank I had lying around and now I have a new cute piece Smiley

I filmed me doing the recon and made a quick video tutorial.  I post a new tutorial every week on my youTube if you want to check it out Smiley

Ooooh, great work on this one, be sure to post the red one too. My favorite color.

Thanks!  I plan on making the red curtain this week and I will for sure post a pic Smiley

I used a blue sheet I picked up at a thrift store to make curtains for the spare room in our new apartment!  I had never made curtains before so it was a lot of fun Smiley  (Oh and the rod was picked up at a garage sale for only $3!)  After I made the one in the pic I found a red satin sheet at a different thrift store that I'm going to use to make a curtain for our bedroom because the color matches our bedspread perfectly!

I made a video tutorial as always Smiley

Hope you enjoy!
15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Fun Beaded Things :) on: October 08, 2010 04:26:45 PM
These aren't jewelry, but this is the section in the forum my post seemed to fit best...

These are stickpins, charms, and flowers I'm made.  They are for using on mini albums and other projects like that.  I used some vintage beads and buttons along with pins left from my wedding.

I have a video that shows more of the sets I've made.

Very pretty!  I really love the one with the key Smiley

How adorable! I love that they are stuffed with plastic bags - I'd never have thought of that! Genius Smiley

Thanks!  We just moved so I don't have any stuffing yet so my husband suggested that I could use some of the tons of bages we've collected.  Smiley

They are so adorable. I love stuff like this! Cheesy

Thanks Smiley  I had never made anything like this before and the plaid pumpkin was my test run and it turned out to be my favorite!

I made these cute little pumpkins from upcycled curtain and sheet fabric and stuffed them with plastic bags!  I made them to set on our table during this Fall Smiley

I also filmed making the orange pumpkin and made a tutorial video.

I love these little pumpkins (the plaid is my fav!) and made another one after I took the photo Smiley

Wow this is cool idea.  I can make a lot of these to get rid of some of my scraps and sale at 2 craft fairs that I am a vendor for. I am about to make some now out of 6 1/2 pre cut squares.

The ones on the left are contrasted and the right are solid on each side.

Thanks again for the idea!!!

Your coasters look awesome!  Thanks for showing them Smiley
