2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Dinosaurs - upcycled dress from boys quilt cover on: April 19, 2012 06:31:48 PM
I love it so much! Every time I go to the thrift store the linens are the first thing I check!  I have Power Rangers, Care Bears, 2 different TMNT, Smurfs, Snow White, Duck Tales, Mickey, and a couple of others that I make all sorts of things from Smiley

4  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Scrappy Bustle for Medieval Faire on: April 19, 2012 06:17:18 PM
I was inspired by the ladies from Damsel in this Dress to make my own DIY version of their awesome scrappy bustles!  I made my bustle using upholstery samples and scraps I was given last year.  I love how my bustle turned out and got tons of compliments on it when I wore it to the Medieval Faire Smiley

The rest of my costume...all DIYed!

I made a video tutorial for the bustle- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYrpWvOCIVg

Here's a video I made with footage of the Medieval Faire in Norman that we went to!  It's so much fun and me and the hubby go in costume every year Smiley

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / No Sew Tutu for the Puppy on: April 19, 2012 05:55:05 PM
I've been wanting to try making a no-sew tutu but didn't want to start with a full sized one...so I made one for my dog!  It was so easy to make and I can't wait to get some pretty tulle and make one for me now!

I also made a tutorial for the tutu and posted it to my youtube channel.

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Boring Jeans Turned Fancy! on: December 14, 2010 02:07:46 PM
I have a habit of buying only one brand of jeans...which is great for know what size I need.  But really bad when you look at my closet and all my jeans are identical.  So I came up with a solution and added some fancy stitching to set my jeans apart from the rest

Before-

After-

As always, I made a video tutorial along the way Smiley

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Upcycled Beaded Ornaments on: November 26, 2010 03:20:42 PM
They remind me of the fact in Victorian times, the woman of the house used to use her jewelry to decorate the Christmas tree.
I like the fact you used the chain links.
I tried it, and just strung mine on thread.

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond...but I love your ornaments!  They are so beautiful and classy looking.
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Upcycled Beaded Ornaments on: October 26, 2010 06:51:45 PM
I saw some really cute beaded ornaments at a store but didn't want to pay the high price for them.  So I went to a discount jewelry store and picked up a couple of beaded necklaces and made my own ornaments...and I love them!  I've made seven sets so far (only have pictures of two right now)!  I'm in love with making these ornaments and I love that they are made out of re-purposed beads Smiley

Let me know what you think of them Smiley
