1  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / Re: LONDONERS: Stand up and be counted! on: March 01, 2013 12:29:59 PM
Bump. Who knows, maybe the right coincidence of people looking at the forum and people replying to the forum will happen one of these days. Smiley So hello, one and all! I moved to Hertfordshire around 6 months ago from Ireland, I go into London any week I'm not flying home and sometimes during the week in the evenings. I am pro meeting other people and other craftsters, for drinks, craftiness and friendly times. Me thinks a plan for a non pressure coffee/drink and craft of your choice could be arranged somewhere central-ish one of the weekends? After all, we're not obligated to all get along and become best buds, but how will we ever know if we never give it a try? Oh, my naive enthusiasm....Smiley

Ohhh, really like this. I agree with the others - I'm very tactile in general, and this just begs to have fingers run over it/

So colorful! This would be an awesome gift to receive, I may have to make one. Thanks for the link to the tutorial. Smiley
4  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 75 ENTRIES / Decorated ice-cream tub into flowerpot to decorate my window ledge on: June 02, 2012 09:56:25 AM

I don't normally work with paper, but I needed some crafty motivation, so I decided to partake in this months challenge, whatever it was.

I decided to try and get a double whammy, by decorating my room by way of decorating a forgotten ice-cream tub.
The result:

Here's the tub before I got my hands on it!

The flowers are made from crepe, and the pot covering is also paper.
My favorite thing about this project is that all the paper used were saved from gifts I was given - for example, the green paper used to cover the pot was from a bunch of roses my boyfriend gave me ages ago. Now when I see this cheerful object, I will be reminded of happy times like our anniversary, my birthday, Christmas. Smiley Everything else was also stuff I had lying around - the stalks are chopsticks I colored in with marker, the grass is leftover scrap yarn I crocheted into loops, and the buttons are from the button stash all craftsters have.

Thanks for looking!

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Zipper and Pearls - First Project Post on: May 07, 2011 02:47:49 PM
This is awesome - I have a lot of fake pearls from necklaces I've bought only for the pendant. Now I know what to do with them. Smiley
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Summer Pinwheel Hairbows on: May 07, 2011 02:46:09 PM
Oh! I love making pinwheels. I use them for covering up stains/holes on shirts and stuff. This looks awesome.

Cool! I love melding 2 colors of polymer clay together to give that marbled look - it's really effective here.
