21  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Zombie Plush on: October 13, 2015 08:26:07 AM
I stitched this brain craving little monster for JoyfulClover in the Mini 13 Days of Halloween swap.

My first attempt failed but I got it worked out for the second go round. The pattern is from Urban Threads
22  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Under the Sea on: October 02, 2015 06:56:55 AM
I stitched this up for two reasons... The first is it fit the theme for the Ongoing Hoopla Along and second my daughter is slightly obsessed with mermaids at the moment.

It was supposed to be completed in August for the hoopla along theme of monochrome but I didn't get it done. Luckily it fit Septembers theme of monsters and mythical creatures!

The design is from Urban Threads
23  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Two ingredient pizza dough on: September 17, 2015 07:13:47 AM

I made grilled pizza last night which isn't unusual but I did make my own crust which is! I usually buy balls of pre made dough from Trader Joes. This dough is a game changer though. Two ingredients, super fast, and it spreads out so nicely.

Combine 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt and 1 1/2 cups Self Rising Flour

Mix until combined then knead for 7-8 minutes or use the dough hook on a KitchenAid then spread it out then grill it or bake at 450 until finished

I won't be buying pre made dough ever again!
24  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Funny Kitchen Towels on: July 29, 2015 08:20:02 AM
I made these towels for a friend using some funny kitchen designs that were on sale on urban Threads back in April

25  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Sweet Octopus on: July 10, 2015 08:05:18 AM
I stitched this up the Ongoing Hoopla Along whose theme this month is summer. The pattern is from the pattern pack Seashells and Seahorses from the KimberlyOuimet Etsy shop.

I tried something new for this one. I stacked two fabrics together then stitched on the octopus. After it was stitched I cut away the excess fabric around my stitches to make the octopus a different color than the main fabric.  I am really happy with how it turned out.
26  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Pirate Mug Rug on: July 05, 2015 07:34:38 AM

I made this mug rug for Ludi in the Darker Side of Disney swap. She listed one of her themes as Pirates of the Caribbean especially the skull and crossbones. I embroidered the skull then sewed up the mug rug with some scraps I had.
27  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Hitchhiking Ghosts Shadowbox on: July 05, 2015 07:27:02 AM

I made this Haunted Mansion themed Shadowbox for Ludi in the Darker Side of Disney Swap. I was really happy with how it turned out except I forgot to ink the edges of the tombstones...

Here is a bit of a close up so you can see the photos on the wall
28  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Tiny Stitched Strawberry on: June 07, 2015 07:47:42 AM
I made this wee hoop for the June theme in the Hoopla Along. I received these tiny hoops as an extra in a swap and have been hoarding them. I thought this would be the perfect time to actually use one! I may make it into a pendant of some sort. The pattern is from Urban Threads

29  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Totally 80's Jem Hoopla on: May 14, 2015 08:22:30 AM

I stitched this awesome 80's icon up for crazyda79 in the Birthday Swap. I googled Jem coloring pages to find the pattern I used. I so love the big pink 80's hair!
30  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Harry Potter Mini Quilt Teesha Moore Style on: April 28, 2015 06:24:09 PM
I made this mini quilt for luckdragon in the AWESOME! Swap. This was my first time having a go at the Teesha Moore style patches and I didn't realize how labor intensive they could be with all the little stitches. I am very happy with how this turned out though! The HP logo was stenciled on and the feather was stitched with my embroidery machine but everything else was hand stitched.
