141  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Ladder Stitch Bracelets AKA Chan Luu Style on: May 09, 2012 12:18:32 PM
These seem to be popping up everywhere!  I decided I must share mine also. Super easy to make once you get the stitch down.  I have a hard time making multiple wraps though cause my beading string tends to get tangled.  So I have been making more than one so that they can be worn stacked.
These two purple bracelets were made for littlebluegirl in the Ongoing Pinterest Swap

This green one was made for my step mom for mothers day.

I used different sizes of beads and I am not sure if I like this effect as much as beads that are all the same.

142  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Raptor Hoopla on: April 16, 2012 09:52:03 AM
I made this for ollieorange in the March round of the Ongoing Pinterest Swap.  She had the hoop pinned from dandeliondog http://dandeliondog.blogspot.com/2010/07/clever-girl.html

This is one of my favorite lines in the movie and so I just had to make it!
143  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Dandelion Hoopla on: January 23, 2012 11:48:24 AM
I made this hoopla for the Ongoing Pinterest Swap and had a REALLY hard time sending it off.  I did a Google image search for dandelion silhouettes to get the idea of what to stitch then went for it.  It's in a small hoop which makes it even cuter to me!

I want one for my hoopla wall!
144  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cork Necklace & Paperclip Earrings on: January 16, 2012 09:21:03 AM
I made this for the Ongoing Pinterest swap.  It's made from slices of a wine cork, stamps, ink, and charms.

The original inspiration can be found here:http://www.etsy.com/listing/76117012/wine-cork-necklace-for-j-gould-only?ref=hp_tt_yt

I also made these earrings from paperclips and crochet thread

I know I have the source pinned but I can't find it now... will update when I do!
145  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Unicorns and Camera's Oh My! on: December 20, 2011 11:53:37 AM
I decided to make a little something something for each of my family members to go along with their Christmas gift cards.  For my brothers I made these two hoops.  The camera is obviously for my photog brother and the unicorn is kind of a gag gift for the other.  I saw him playing some strange unicorn game online a few years ago and have gotten him a unicorn gag gift every year since.

I hope they both enjoy!

146  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Crochet Thread + Paperclips= Earrings! on: December 19, 2011 11:11:17 AM

These are made from unbent paperclips with crochet thread wrapped around them and glued in certain spots to keep it together.  I made these as a Christmas gift for my sister.

Here is where I found this project....

147  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Thumb Print Pendants on: December 19, 2011 11:04:44 AM
I made these out of white poly clay as a Christmas gift for my grandma.  Each of my kids pushed their thumb into the clay prior to baking.  I then painted them silver and sprayed them with a sealent before shipping them off.

Super easy and I think a really cute gift idea.

The original idea was found at Sarah Ortega Photography

148  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Day of the Dead Hoopla on: November 15, 2011 09:33:34 AM

I got this pattern from Urban Threads and stitched it up for someone in the Ongoing Wish Swap.  I used a running stitch for the majority of it and threw in a little bit of satin stitching in a few places.  I am very happy with how this hoop turned out and for once I wouldn't change a thing!
149  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Button Hoopla on: August 01, 2011 01:01:11 PM
Not sure where to put this guy since it's a hoop but it wasn't sewn at all.  This is a Seahorse made from buttons that I made in the Ongoing Wish Swap for Babalina58.  I am so happy with how it turned out!
150  COOKING / Dessert / Dessert Crescents on: August 01, 2011 10:59:22 AM
Another really easy and delicious dessert.  This can also be totally customized to your own tastes!  You will need, a package of crescent rolls, and whatever filling you want.  I used marshmallows, chocolate chips, and peanut butter.

Unroll the dough and fill as you wish

Careful though cause the fillings will be HOT!
