1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Tiny Stitched Strawberry on: June 07, 2015 07:47:42 AM
I made this wee hoop for the June theme in the Hoopla Along. I received these tiny hoops as an extra in a swap and have been hoarding them. I thought this would be the perfect time to actually use one! I may make it into a pendant of some sort. The pattern is from Urban Threads

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Totally 80's Jem Hoopla on: May 14, 2015 08:22:30 AM

I stitched this awesome 80's icon up for crazyda79 in the Birthday Swap. I googled Jem coloring pages to find the pattern I used. I so love the big pink 80's hair!
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Harry Potter Mini Quilt Teesha Moore Style on: April 28, 2015 06:24:09 PM
I made this mini quilt for luckdragon in the AWESOME! Swap. This was my first time having a go at the Teesha Moore style patches and I didn't realize how labor intensive they could be with all the little stitches. I am very happy with how this turned out though! The HP logo was stenciled on and the feather was stitched with my embroidery machine but everything else was hand stitched.
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Twisted Tree on: April 28, 2015 06:12:55 PM
I stitched up this Urban Threads design twisted tree for jexxican in the yarnies vs sewists swap. I used a split stitch on the trunk and a back stitch for the leaves and flowers. I cannot get this darn picture to post straight though... grrr  Huh  Huh
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / The Four Elements Shrines on: March 17, 2015 08:54:24 AM
I was partnered with Steiconi in the Geezers swap and she said she would like to receive a shrine of some sort.  At first I was going to do a four seasons set but that theme didn't really float her boat but she mentioned the four elements.  I ordered the shrine kits and some other supplies from Retro Cafe Art Gallery and got to work.

Steiconi posted some better photos in the gallery
6  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Woodland Creatures on: February 27, 2015 09:22:08 AM
I stitched up this Sublime Stitching pattern by Erin Paisley for my partner in the Birthday Swap. I really loved how they turned out and had a hard time sending the hoops away! I used a split back stitch, stem stitch, fly stitch, and a teeny bit of satin stitching in the hoops.

I think these two are my favorites...

Well hmmm maybe these two are...
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Giving Bunny on: February 17, 2015 08:05:28 AM
I made a giving bunny for my partner in the Box of Color Swap.  The pattern is free from Urban Threads and can be hand sewed or done in an embroidery machine.  Since I was making a jewel toned box of color for my partner my bunny isn't a traditional color.

I think I may want to make a few more to abandon in Downtown Disney next week.  I guess we'll see if I can find the time!
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Peacock Colored Kumihimo Bracelet on: February 17, 2015 08:02:37 AM
I made this beaded Kumihimo bracelet for my partner calixita in the Box of Color Swap.  The beads aren't as peacocky as I would have liked but the stores in my area seem to carry a small selection of colors.

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Mermaid Specimen on: February 12, 2015 01:37:31 PM
I was partnered with MissingWillow in the cabinet of curiosities swap and made her a few things to add to her collection.  She had a lot of fun themes to choose from including water creatures so here is what I came up with.

Here is the case that holds the mermaid.

The paper sign in the middle can be removed if she wants to display it with the lid on

Or it can be displayed with the lid off
10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Vs. Swap??? on: February 06, 2015 11:14:31 AM
I have seen past rounds of yarnies vs. sewers swaps and was thinking it would be fun to do embroiderers vs yarnies vs sewists or something of the sort.  I embroider but have little experience with sewing and no experience with yarn.  Anyone have any interest?
