2  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / CHALLENGE 116 ENTRIES / Voodoo Doll Costume on: November 06, 2016 12:32:28 PM
I have been wanting to be a voodoo doll for probably three years now but have not been able to find the right dress. This year I was able to find a plain white dress on Amazon. I dyed the dress with a combination of tea and coffee. I then used felt for the heart and black fabric paint to create the stitches. I made a pin using a skewer and syrofoam ball. The bow was purchased and then I used toothpicks with glued on beads to create two more pins.

I am super happy with how it turned out! I only have one shot of it in action though..
3  COOKING / Dessert / Brains to Feed the Zombie Inside on: October 23, 2016 11:55:29 AM

I made these candy brains for my coworkers for Halloween. I melted white chocolate and added some pink food coloring gel.

Inside they are filled with red velvet truffle type stuff. I baked the cake crumbled it then mixed in cream cheese frosting. Then I filled the brains and added the bottom layer of chocolate

5  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Korean Pork Chops on: October 20, 2016 07:12:44 AM

Another new dinner recipe I tried this week! These were really easy and very good! Almost everyone liked them... hard to please everyone at this table all the time. Next time I will use a little less sriracha since it seemed to overpower some of the other flavors

6  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Breakfast Biscuits on: October 20, 2016 07:09:24 AM

I made these for a breakfast potluck at work and they are so good!! Much better warm than cold and would be good with some gravy! I omitted the chilis since I was bringing them to the potluck. They are savory and quite filling!

7  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / 20 Minute Stir Fry on: October 20, 2016 07:06:22 AM

I've been trying lots of new recipes this week. This was a quick and easy dinner but got mixed reviews from my crew. I didn't have regular maple syrup so I subbed honey and used a bag of frozen stir fry veggies in place of fresh. I will give it another go with the syrup to see if it makes a difference

8  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Scarecrow Hoop on: October 13, 2016 01:55:39 PM

I made this for my partner in the Mini 13 Days of Halloween Swap. It was my first time embroidering on two layers of fabric one of them being burlap. I love the spooky effect though!

Pattern purchased from Picturestitch.com
9  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Haunted Mansion Cup on: October 11, 2016 07:56:35 AM
I'm not sure if this is the correct board for this...
I cut the Hitchhiking Ghosts out of vinyl and applied them to a reusable cup. I cut the vinyl with my Silhouette Cameo
