Wow!  I so admire blackwork.  Very intricate!

I hung up quite a few hoops that had been lying on my desk yesterday and decided to take a picture of my hoopla wall.  I couldn't get them all in but here is an idea of what it looks like

And these ones are above my desk

402  Christmas Shadowbox in Winter Holidays by lindyv321 on: December 26, 2013 11:07:44 AM
I made a Christmas themed shrine for my partner in the 12 Days of Christmas swap.  I was so happy with the Halloween one that I wanted to tackle Christmas.  I spray painted the boxes and outside gold and then used different papers for the inside of each cubby

The shadowbox has a plastic cover that goes on the front with a lid, here it is with the lid on....

The back of the box has this great piece of scrapbook paper along with a dresden Santa

A close up of each section

Sorry for the dark photos, we actually had some rain in Phoenix on the day I was wrapping everything up!

I have a Cameo that I don't use much.  My goal is to really work with it more this upcoming year.  I got a new cutting mat and everything!

Those shirts are great!  I haven't worked with the heat transfer stuff much but I have attempted to cut stencils out with the Cameo with mixed results...

I have one more December project to post.
Battle/Challenge: December Flash Mob
Team: Wordy
Project Name: Snowmen Magnets
Brief Description: I made these guys for my co-workers to go along with their little gifts from me.  Since we live in Arizona and don't ever get any snow I am always drawn to little snowmen, icicles, and such around the Holidays.

406  Frosty Magnets in Winter Holidays by lindyv321 on: December 18, 2013 08:38:54 AM

I made these snowmen magnets for my co-workers this year.  I got the kits from Retro Cafe Art Gallery which came with the magnet, snowman figure, blank paper body, hat, scarf, and nose.  Then I embellished with wintery words, glitter, ink, etc.  I can't wait to put these in each little gift basket I am putting together and hope they are well received.

407  Oh Deer! in Needlework: Completed Projects by lindyv321 on: December 18, 2013 08:30:17 AM
I made this lovely cheery deery for the Craftster Needlework Challenge.  It was my first ever challenge and I had fun playing!  I didn't get too creative with the original pattern (meaning not creative at all) but just stitched it up.  I was quite happy with how it turned out and actually even won second place in the challenge.

408  Articulated Angel Ornaments in Winter Holidays by lindyv321 on: December 16, 2013 09:19:40 AM
I made these two angel ornaments for a swap at Retro Cafe Art Gallery.  The only rule was we had to use the blank angel base.  When I was ordering supplies I pictured exactly what I wanted to do and they both actually turned out how I pictured them in my head.  That doesn't happen often!

The first is a sparkly snow angel ornament.  I spray painted the angel parts silver then embellished.  I used mica flakes on her skirt to get a snowy effect and glitter glue for her wings and torso.

The second one I wanted more of a rustic "Americana" look.  I used gold spray paint for the base and some fake holly berries around the skirt.  I also added the little rusty tree, star, and brown snowflake which matched well.

410  Re: Winter inchie-houses gallery in The Swap Gallery by lindyv321 on: December 16, 2013 08:34:20 AM
I am glad my partners have like their houses thus far.  The little bow house was my favorite of the four I made Smiley

I received a fabulous Little Pink Schoolhouse from bluepaisan.  I cannot believe the detail that went into the itty bitty little students playing in the yard!

First the inside of the house that has lots of new languages to learn.  Each language was listed in the card but I left that at home

Here is my school house with all the kids playing outside.  Check out the tiny flag!

And a closeup of the kids.  They are so detailed in both the front and back!  I was so nervous I was going to accidentally rip them or something.

Thank you so much!
