1  Wet felted teapot to play with in Felting: Completed Projects by viltk on: February 09, 2009 01:02:55 PM
Hi all,
I wanted to share with you my latest wet felting project: A teapot for my daughters.
I have used a balloon, covered it up with wool, used some sewing thread to keep it all to the balloon, placed another 2 layers of wool upon that and started to make everything wet.  Next time I'll use the flat resist method, because I think it's maybee easier to make it then. Now I have sewn the handle on, the big dot at the lid and the ropes at the edges of the lid. The heart - thread is needle felted on to it.

What do you think of it??

The little teabags are sewn from industrial felt.

3  BLUB, I'm a little fish.... wet felted in Felting: Completed Projects by viltk on: August 19, 2008 01:37:04 AM
Hi All,

I've had two days of great felting. Ideas kept coming up! First I made the orange fish, the aqua fish, a rainbowfish and after that 2 Little rainbowfishes and last but not least the punk fish.

I used the flat resist method and made an incision which I sewed after stuffed the felt with wool. Look for yourself. Any comment or questions are welcome!

4  nunofeltd scarf and necklace in "ton -sur ton" in Felting: Completed Projects by viltk on: July 24, 2008 09:43:06 AM
Hi, I've been making a nunofelted scarf. I always wanted to make a scarf with colours that are "ton- sur- ton". Now I had the time! Even so much time I made a necklace in the same colours, so it would suit .
See for yourself! I am now doubting if I am going to keep it myself, give it away or sell it at a flee/art market in September

5  Wet-felted baby-dress with a pair of "socks" in Felting: Completed Projects by viltk on: July 19, 2008 11:19:02 AM
I've made, for the first time, a baby dress. I used the felting technique: with a flat resist. I took an of cotton made little dress, made it 1/3 bigger and wrapped all the fibers around it.  I also used the prefelt technique: through cuttings out of prefelt and laying them on the wool before felting. (Flowers, butterflies)
I am going to send it to my friend in Sweden who has become a baby -girl. Hope she'll love it!

6  Re: Felt a long #7 Gallery - wet felting over a flat resist in Felting: Completed Projects by viltk on: May 11, 2008 01:39:15 PM
Hi All,

I have made two things and I can't decide Which one to show off , so I'll do both.
See  the links.

The first picture is Merlin's hat. I have used a triangular piece of bubble wrap and covered it with the wool. My daughter (6 y) and some of her friends made the little balls which "like to come out of the hat".
After laying 4 layers I've placed the balls on the wool and laid another 2 thin layers. After felting I've just cut them open. The difficulty getting everything felted was: keeping the balls on their place. But I've managed.

The in house booties where made with a Mal of one piece of bubble wrap. I drawn my youngest daughters feet on a piece of bubble wrap and kept in mind that her ankles needed to be covered as well. I've made all of our family such a pair! I have a picture from her sitting on my felting table. I've not jet uplo\aded it, but if you want to I can show You if you want to.
