My daughter wanted to be Alice.  I sewed the costume & apron, and made her a cheshire cat from a foam ball, striped t-shirt, and card stock for the face.

Here is my whole crew together, all handmade, but the Alice costume is the one I am entering for this craft challenge.

I couldn't enter the Halloween contest this year because I had to much going on at home, but I still wanted to share the costumes the hubby and I made for the kids this year! My daughter wanted to be a candy queen and my son wanted to be Steve from the game Minecraft.  I made my daughter's costume and my hubby made my son's.

6  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Viking Girl on: November 03, 2010 08:27:26 PM
My daughter Eryss asked me to make her a viking girl costume like Astrid's from "How To Train Your Dragon".  I used all the costume standards....duct tape, felt, ribbon, aluminum foil, hot glue, 3 old dresses, safety pins and some thread  Cheesy  photos are clickable thumbnails.

She is small & in the background, but it was the best picture I had from straight on.  (My son is Ash from "Evil Dead" & "Army Of Darkness" my hubby made it)
