1  Re: Cinnamon Star Ornaments - are in the oven! in Winter Holidays by Granny_Leah on: November 20, 2011 06:19:10 PM
I made these for an ornament swap in 2007; dried in the dehydrator, they still smell good.
The applesauce/cinnamon shapes in the middle of the wreaths are about an inch. The designs are puff paint.

They remind me of the fact in Victorian times, the woman of the house used to use her jewelry to decorate the Christmas tree.
I like the fact you used the chain links.
I tried it, and just strung mine on thread.

I love applesauce/cinnamon ornaments.
Here are some mini ones I made in 2007.

Hershey kisses, chocolate-covered cherries, and sliced almonds on an Oreo create terror in the hearts of cheese-lovers everywhere!

I made a bunch of clothespin dolls for an ornament swap.
The final ones have gold paint details on them.

6  Re: What to do with my tv? in What the heck can I do with THIS? by Granny_Leah on: November 18, 2008 08:05:23 AM
Paint it.
We used to have an old refrigerator that we painted in big splashy rainbow stripes.
Take an album cover, or your favorite band and reproduce it. Emphasize every little feature with paint, like those old Victorian houses.
There is also a chalkboard paint you could use to turn the whole thing into a chalkboard.
