1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: EGL? Why of course, it's my signature. [Image Heavy/UPDATE!] on: June 04, 2008 09:03:43 PM
So lovely!

If I ever get it together to order some stuff, you may be hearing from me soon. Wink

(I'd esp like to order from you because I think we have similar body types!)
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Jack Sparrow, Boba Fett, Roy Mustang! on: May 15, 2008 10:40:36 AM
*wibbles*

This... is beautiful.

Not only Jack Sparrow, but also... ROY MUSTANG?

*wipes tears from eyes*

It is now time for me to go put on a miniskirt, just like the Colonel would want.  Grin
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Hestia the Hedgehog: image heavy on: April 15, 2008 07:54:04 PM
Awwww... I'm really into hedgehogs right now, and I love this! So sweet. Smiley
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Alice in Wonderland necklace on: April 15, 2008 07:49:18 PM
Awww, this is really pretty. I have an Alice collection, and I would wear this in a heartbeat. Smiley
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Embroidered Jellyfish Bubble Skirt on: April 15, 2008 06:02:51 PM
Oh, at this point this is definitely a "me too" -- but I really love this and think it looks great.

(If I were wearing it, I'd have a total complex about accidentally tangling the hanging threads, though!)
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Alpaca poncho on: March 27, 2008 07:07:31 PM
It's a nice poncho -- since this is the knitting area, I feel like I should compliment it -- but what really owns me is the alpaca itself. Smiley so great!
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Vine Scarf on: March 27, 2008 06:15:19 PM
Lovely! I've wanted to make a vine scarf forever. I really like how colorful and summery this one is.

For other commenters... it's really not too difficult to find crochet flower patterns, between what's available for free online and what's available in books.  Wink
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Mrs. Lovett Amigurumi on: March 27, 2008 06:07:24 PM
I am deeply and embarrassingly in love with this doll, and I can't tell you how many times I have forwarded the link to friends in the last two weeks. (Numerous, anyway. Numerous times.)

Great job. Smiley

(tiny little thread-crochet tarts as her "pies," maybe?)
9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: The Fellowship of the Ring, amigurumi style! (image heavy) on: March 27, 2008 06:05:06 PM

I wasn't sure if there would be a lot of takers for patterns--you have to know how to be able to sew simple patterns, crochet, embroider and/or paint.  I know I couldn't make these on my own, especially the painting part, but if a lot of interest is shown I might try and work up something.

Interest is shown! interest is shown! Me me me! I generally can look at stuff and tell how it was made (within reason -- I just read a lot of craft books), and I coooooould do that with these, but you know, I'd still love, love, love to see patterns.

I'd understand why you wouldn't make up the patterns, too, because you could have legal problems from selling them as "LOTR" patterns (could sell them as a "fantasy adventure party," though), and they might be a lot of trouble to write up to give away for free. Maybe there could be some kind of compromise where the doll pattern is free and the clothes patterns are for sale.
10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Pink Frosting - amigurumi deer on: March 27, 2008 05:38:28 PM
Man, almost two years later and this topic is still getting comments.

(I had a Craftster account like 3+ years ago, but I can't remember my login name and I don't own the domain I was registered under anymore anyway -- that is, i don't have the same email address, either. It's a pain. I reregistered the other day, because I thought I should post more and lurk less.)

Anyway, I think this is my favorite amigurumi I've ever seen anywhere -- though I also thought Chocolate Frosting was adorable, as well as the astro-mouse and the dressed kitty (Nanette)? Total and complete love for your work. Smiley
