1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Children's Wish Swap Round 1 on: August 19, 2008 09:39:53 AM
I claim frosty772, for a set of mittens and scarf for each boy. THis is my first and only claim (first swap  Wink ) 0 sent, 0 received.

My name is Jessica and I'm a sahm to 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl. Here's our list:

Raymond is 7 (soon to be Cool and loves anything for imaginative play, ie; foam swords, dress up. His favorite color is green. He loves pirates and skulls. He loves to read so any type of book would be great also, used is welcome! A journal would also be great as well.

Bobby is 4 (soon to be 5) and loves anything and everything superhero, batman spiderman superman, you name it! He doesn't really have a favorite color, as he's not a picky child, this boy could play with a box and have a blast!

Olivia just turned 1, and is a complete girly girl. She loves babies and anything she can push around. I love her in pink, it's her color. This girl can never have enough clothes or dollies.

For the boys:
anything relating to their favorite charaters/themes
pajamas (I can give measurements)
costumes (swords, shields, weapons) like these: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=262703.0

piggy banks of some sort
shirts

For the girl:

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Boys sets on: June 13, 2008 07:04:51 PM
Honestly, boys outfits are so much easier for me! It takes me maybe an hour to finish something for them versus my daughter. I usually just make shorts and applique something on a tee for them. And ha ha ha I didn't think anyone would notice his pirate face lol. Thanks for the comments!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Some Dresses on: June 13, 2008 06:36:34 PM
These are just a few dresses/sets I've made recently. My daughter didn't feel like modeling, so I have a stand in.
This is a halter and bloomers set

the back, the bloomers have ruffle butt!

just a little pinafore

and lastly a patriotic dress I made

Thanks for looking!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Boys sets on: June 13, 2008 06:33:10 PM
So this is my very first project post, and I thought I'd start with some of the clothes I've made for boys. First is a pirate/skull set I made for my 8 yr old.

up close of tumbling skulls

a flaming motorcycle set for my 4 yr old

up close of applique

a basketball set (too small for my boys) just because I had the fabric in my stash. You can't tell in the photo, but the ball on the shirt is stitched to look like a basketball

and the last one, a VW set that again doesn't fit my boys but was in my stash

So what do you think?
5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: more recons..I just can't stop... on: June 10, 2008 10:51:41 PM
I love those so much! I want to try my hand at making one for my daughter out of some of my shirts, but I don't think I'm ready to give any up lol. Good job on them!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: A fetchy Petchy dress and dolly for a baby girl AKA When the stars align on: June 08, 2008 02:40:06 PM
The dress came out so cute! I'm in love with that dolly though, and wish I could do something like that for my little girl. Good job!

10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / applique question on: June 05, 2008 03:39:54 PM
Does anyone know if I use heat and bond to iron on an image, will it fall off in the wash if I don't sew it on? The way I want to do this particular applique, I can't zig zag around it or it will mess it up, and I don't want it fraying around the edges. Can anyone give me any tips on appliquing?
