21  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Back to Hogwarts 4 ~CLOSED-Thank you everyone for a flake-free swap!~ on: August 18, 2013 06:05:10 AM
Last night my husband drove me all the way out to Port Charlotte so I could hit Hobby Lobby. I got everything I needed for my small and most of what I wanted for my medium. The medium is made of several components, and I haven't fully decided how I want to do the last bit.

Agreed!
I started a ___  last night for part of my Large! I've never done this before and am getting pretty pumped at how cool and easy it is (once you find the right materials  Roll Eyes). We'll see in approx an hour when it's done "cookin".

This whole IYP thing is pretty awesome... I am nearly finished with item number one, and haven't felt rushed or anything, which is kind of a nice feeling for me!

Thank you, loves2experiment, for organizing! I love the photo collage you did! It's neat to see all the different styles in one place.

Eeeep... I'm starting to worry my open floor plan roof might not jive with these other contained roofs  Roll Eyes I think the houses I'm making are turning out cute though and don't want to start over  Tongue

Ooh! Now I am curious! And like I said... I'm up for anything - just have fun with it. Liberty Springs will be unique!

Sent out in the morning's post! Now the swap anxiety begins...

I am entering these in the cross category challenge, not that I have any hope of winning... so if you want a sneak peak of the flat versions, you can check them out. Also, swap partners, you have been warned!  Grin

Craftster means many, many things to me... and a big part of that is craft swaps! I love getting to know people from all over the world, and truly, for me, giving is the best part. I love stalking my partners and coming up with the perfect thing for them.

I made these itty bitty houses for the inchies paper house swap I'm currently participating in. Each house has to be shipped flat, then assembled by the recipient, so you get to see the flat version here... Once they are assembled, pictures should be posted in the swap gallery.

The first house was inspired by another craftster project that 'partner A' had pinned...

Each wall is 1"x1". The stones were painted with water color and a very tiny brush...

I really like the way my shingles turned out... I used a paper punch and shingled just like on a regular roof.

The second house was inspired by this bag/box that 'partner B' had pinned.

The last house was inspired by some butterfly wings that 'partner C' had pinned.

Each house was mailed in a slightly decorated envelope, just for fun.

Just finished my last house! It is drying right now... Tomorrow morning, should all go according to plan, I will mail them out first thing.

My three houses are VERY, very different from one another...

LimeRiot sent me such a beautiful little inchie house! Thank you, so much!

Even the bottom was decorated...

Check out the sweet little base!

I really love the colors she used, and all the detail in such a tiny space. And did you see how tiny the writing on it was?! Amazing!

Thank you!
