The discouraging thing for me right now is trying to find a decent sized venue for a decent price!

We did our wedding in nine weeks and under $3000! You can soooo do it! (oh, and next November will be our 6th wedding anniversary) Smiley Congrats!

I think that we are going to be able to do it. We are planning on a cruise for our honeymoon... so that is a big budget saver, and neither of us have been on one. I also have a friend that has offered the use of any of her wedding supplies (which I will be taking her up on that offer, and it should help tons).  I am shopping thrift stores, using Oriental trading & the dollar tree (everything a dollar!). Not to mention TONS of DIY craft projects, mostly inspired by you wonderful ladies here.

A bunch of people have told me that it isn't possible, but that just makes me want to prove them wrong! I'm working on a inspiration board, color scheme, and project list. Hopefully it will be posted in the next few days!

Hey guys! I have been lurking around here for the past year and posting occasionally. You guys have defiantly inspired me to have a crafty wedding. I hope that you don't mind me using some of your old projects. We are going to attempt to have an elegant ceremony and honeymoon for under $5000.00. Hopefully less if we can accomplish it!

I love the mug! You guys are so creative on here!

I'm wanting to create some black and white damask plates for dessert stands at my wedding. Would you guys suggest the paint pen or the paint for my project? Which do you think would be easier to work with?

Ok I want to learn about these ceramic ink pens. I want to make dessert stands for my wedding, but cannot find any black and white damask plates. I was going to just paint some plates i picked up and then put a clear glaze  on them, but didn't know if that would be safe. Looks like this is though... Can you guys help me out? It would make my life so much easier to be able to use cheap thrift store plates!

WOW I love this. Maybe I can use this for my centerpieces or part of my reception decorations. I love the colors too. We are planning on using tourquoies, white, black, and maybe a green. They look really classy!

Wow, I like these! I just got engaged yesterday. Looking for some inspiration for our wedding. What kind of flowers are those?

Congrats!
Well her bouquet was just regular silk orchids and the flowers in the bowls were these fake orchids that were this waxy plasticity matterial.

Gotcha. I really like the centerpieces. I'm going to keep those in mind for my wedding. I guess I need to start an insperation board!
