1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Old shirt + Old Pillow Case = Nice shirt! on: June 03, 2007 05:12:47 PM
Well, I made this about a year ago but I'm getting around to posting it now because I've been out of the country in India for 10 months. So, I have been pretty much out of the craftster loop for quite a while. I hope it still looks nice.
It was previous an ugly green shirt which I basically just shortened the sleeves and added black fabric to and I just patched in a piece of this crazy cool floral fabric from an old pillowcase. Really an easy project.
I hope you like it!

2  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 3 ENTRIES / My Room... miniaturized. on: July 01, 2005 09:01:19 PM
Okay... so I think I spent way way too much time working on my diorama. I even laid wood floors, made furniture, painted, and constructed the room itself. I made a diorama of my bedroom. So here it is.  Smiley

^ This is my diorama at first, but then I decided it needed something else. ( That's my dog Siri on the bed.)

^ Then I decided to add myself rereading Harry Potter, because I cannot wait for HBP!

and now ... my actual room.

ps... sorry my dog looks kinda dead. (the clay one) I chose to do this theme because I am going to be re-doing my room soon and I wanted to remember what it looks like.... and I thought it would be way fun.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / bedsheet skirt on: June 12, 2005 08:06:34 PM
hey crafties!

I made this skirt tonight with my sister in less than an hour thanks to april_cocaine's lovely circle skirt tutorial. Only... I decided not to make it into a circle. There are two layers, because otherwise it would be really see-through. It's made from a sheet I found at Salvation Army for only $1 and an old shirt for the waist band. V. Cheap.

(the weird hanging things are just the ties on my shrug. Wink )

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / pink & blue & polka dots & tulle! (dress) on: May 30, 2005 07:16:01 PM
I honestly adore this dress. I found the fabric at JoAnn's for only $3 a yard and fell in love. Then I found a lovely dress pattern. Then my grandma got a new sewing machine for us! Good-bye old Bernina! (for now.) Shocked Anyways, this is a dress that I can't help but show on craftser. My mom helped me so much, but it was really fun for me to watch her in action.

ps. sorry I'm a bit pastey.
5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / help with frizzy hair on: April 20, 2005 02:33:55 PM

I was pretty sad today at school because this girl made fun of my hair because it's kinda frizzy on top.  I really don't know if it's just damaged or what. I am fairly clueless as to what I should do to fix the problem. I dyed my hair for the first time maybe a month ago, but my hair has always been frizzy. I know this is common, but none of my friends have it. I realize this is kind of pointless and no one will respond, but oh well. Any crafty ideas?

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / silver bracelet and necklace on: January 01, 2005 05:53:04 PM
This is my first posted project... I made this with my dad for my mom's birthday which is tomorrow.

the bracelet from the top

hinge on the bottom

and the necklace

It is an adaptation of a bracelet from lapidary journal... I can't remember which issue though.  What do you think?
