1  Old shirt + Old Pillow Case = Nice shirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kaipod on: June 03, 2007 05:12:47 PM
Well, I made this about a year ago but I'm getting around to posting it now because I've been out of the country in India for 10 months. So, I have been pretty much out of the craftster loop for quite a while. I hope it still looks nice.
It was previous an ugly green shirt which I basically just shortened the sleeves and added black fabric to and I just patched in a piece of this crazy cool floral fabric from an old pillowcase. Really an easy project.
I hope you like it!

2  Re: Paisley Necktie Schoolbag - NOW WITH TUTORIAL in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kaipod on: February 17, 2006 02:46:20 PM
I made this bag the night before the first day of school... that was in September! I can't believe I am only getting to post this now! My Mom helped me out a bit, but it was a really fun project. I get so many compliments on it and people cannot believe it's hand-made. I even got two boxes of ties from my aunt because she loved my bag.

Sorry, I got a little picture happy...

Rickrackruby-
I want to thank you for such a detailed and wonderful tutorial. It's one of the best ones I have seen on craftster. It must have been a lot of work.

Thanks. Smiley

ps...does anyone else who has made this have problems with the straps digging into your shoulders? my only issue.

4  My Room... miniaturized. in CHALLENGE 3 ENTRIES by kaipod on: July 01, 2005 09:01:19 PM
Okay... so I think I spent way way too much time working on my diorama. I even laid wood floors, made furniture, painted, and constructed the room itself. I made a diorama of my bedroom. So here it is.  Smiley

^ This is my diorama at first, but then I decided it needed something else. ( That's my dog Siri on the bed.)

^ Then I decided to add myself rereading Harry Potter, because I cannot wait for HBP!

and now ... my actual room.

edit:
ps... sorry my dog looks kinda dead. (the clay one) I chose to do this theme because I am going to be re-doing my room soon and I wanted to remember what it looks like.... and I thought it would be way fun.

5  bedsheet skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kaipod on: June 12, 2005 08:06:34 PM
hey crafties!

I made this skirt tonight with my sister in less than an hour thanks to april_cocaine's lovely circle skirt tutorial. Only... I decided not to make it into a circle. There are two layers, because otherwise it would be really see-through. It's made from a sheet I found at Salvation Army for only $1 and an old shirt for the waist band. V. Cheap.

(the weird hanging things are just the ties on my shrug. Wink )

6  pink & blue & polka dots & tulle! (dress) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kaipod on: May 30, 2005 07:16:01 PM
I honestly adore this dress. I found the fabric at JoAnn's for only $3 a yard and fell in love. Then I found a lovely dress pattern. Then my grandma got a new sewing machine for us! Good-bye old Bernina! (for now.) Shocked Anyways, this is a dress that I can't help but show on craftser. My mom helped me so much, but it was really fun for me to watch her in action.

7  Re: help with frizzy hair in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by kaipod on: May 06, 2005 08:00:51 PM
Well... THANKS. I had no idea so many people would reply to my silly post. hehe.  I guess I just think that girl has a problem... I really do have straight hair, just frizzy on top. But, I have to add that I found a solution. I kinda took a lot of things like the adding more conditioner and such and I got some nice John Frieda hair stuff.  Smiley  I got a hair cut and I think it REALLY helped. (Does this make sense?)

thanks again for all the help!

8  silver bracelet and necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by kaipod on: January 01, 2005 05:53:04 PM
This is my first posted project... I made this with my dad for my mom's birthday which is tomorrow.

the bracelet from the top

hinge on the bottom

and the necklace

It is an adaptation of a bracelet from lapidary journal... I can't remember which issue though.  What do you think?
