I received from ShannonMB! She made me the most fantastic, detailed, versatile apron imaginable. First of all, it's reversible, which we both made for each other by coincidence. Second of all, it's reversible times 1000, and the top bib is removable and reversible, so that you can make a half apron, or a half apron with a mini apron. You can also have the top bib and the bottom skirt be the same fabric, or reverse one piece and have half of each fabric. You also have the option of the front bib being in front of or behind the skirt waistband. The back straps criss-cross, and there are heart-shaped buttons and rickrack on the pockets. I looooove rickrack, and buttons, and pockets. The removable top bib is attached with yet more buttons. Not to mention all the ruffled red trim.

There's so much to see that I have to post seven pictures (sorry for the overload), and that doesn't even cover all the possible combinations you can make. On top of all this, she sent me a bunch of extras...potholders, a double-sided spatula (and I had just broken my spatula last week!), an ice cream scoop, cookie dough bits, oil diffuser (yum), and two cookie cutters.

Hi everyone! I haven't posted anything (except for some swaps in the last few months) that I've made in quite a while. I think since 2005 or 2006. Needless to say, I've made a few things since then, so here are three aprons I made a while ago but never posted.

The first was made for my cousin as a present. It's got princess seaming on the top. My favorite part is the pleating on the red waistband. Let me tell you, pleating took hours...and hours. I'm sure there was an easier way to do it, but I pinned, ironed, and sewed for quite a while. The neck strap has different buttonholes so you can adjust the fit with the giant shiny black button. The black skirt part has two pleats and there are two pockets. I was rushed to take pictures before she left, so the details are hard to see (sorry!).






The second has one giant pocket at the bottom, along with a sweet potato stain from Thanksgiving. This one ties at the neck. I had fun deciding which way to lay the stripes.




The last is my favorite, but again the photos don't show much detail (sorry). The bust is gathered for a better fit. There's tiny red polka dot ruffles along the waist and where the neck strap attaches, and an even tinier orange print fabric I made into piping. The pockets have flaps (same polka dot fabric) that are closed with pretty pins instead of buttons (this was made in my days where I still feared button holes )

I think I'm going to go post the aprons I've made in the couple of years I was away from Craftster. I haven't posted anything I've made (except for a few swaps in the last couple of months) since like...2006? 2005? Who knows. That way, my partner for this swap will be able to stalk me more effectively

Woohoo! Two days til partners! I'm trying not to come up with ideas until parnters, in case our tastes are completely different. It's hard not to start sketching though 

I'm so excited for this swap! I'm an apron addict...everyone in my family just shakes their head when I say I made a new one.
