2  My first cool scarf!!! **Better picture** in Knitting: Completed Projects by littlestace on: March 02, 2005 09:37:32 AM
Hi everyone, I am very excited to have finished my second project (I'm now on my 5th or 6th but have only now gotten around to the photos).....my boyfriend really liked the pattern of some of the scarves recently for sale at the GAP but not the colors available - so in a gutsy beginners move I told him I could do it myself.....(I didn't know how to change colors yet or anything really LOL) so we came up with the scarf below & we both love it.  I love all of the completed projects here and was inspired to start knitting by your posts - - - and the news of my only sister having her first baby. Let me know what you think!

3  Help to "redesign" dress in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by littlestace on: September 29, 2004 11:42:18 AM

Hi everyone - I'm new here and am having some issues thinking of a "classy" yet "sexy" new spin on a dress that my mother made for me for my highschool graduation (mind you i may have to take it out a little LOL)
One of my good friends from work is getting married mid October....and I can't find anything in the stores....

Unfortunatley - I don't have any pictures of this dress ready to share (non digital  Sad) but will add if I can....

I'll do my best to describe:

Silver blue fabric, floor length with a slit up both sides to the knee...
halter top - two straps that snapped in the back so that the back....but the front sort of like two triangles meeting at the point - sort of like this (don't laugh at this picture please  Embarrassed:

Any suggestions as to what i could do to make it more fun and grown up...I'd love to hear from you...

PS I love all of your ideas, and am going to have to give some of them a go......

Stace
