So I've been lurking on this site for a while now. I did craft projects as a kid, but I've been more of the wistful, "I could make that!" type, rather than the one that actually makes it. Anyway, I have 1 year old son and have recently realized how little I do that's not being a mom or working, so I have decided to throw myself into crafting. I started small by buying a felt crafts kit from Barnes and Noble. Are kits like heresy here? Sorry - I had to start somewhere! The kit's name is Felt Underground, by Marisa Mouton. I made the second project in the kit, a make-up bag. Because this is my first post, I'm not allowed to post pictures, but I've included links. I hope they work!

You can see that my early stitches are more spaced out, but as I progressed, my neurotic nature took over and they got smaller and closer together. I hand-stitched all of it, partly because that's what the kit said to do and partly because I have a machine but don't know how to use it.
Thanks for looking!
