I have splurged out and bought some patterns. Yeah, the phrase "It's so easy" made me think it will be cool and i will figure it out.
Anyway, if I can go through the steps on how the pattern says to make the top(s) and say which things I don't understand, maybe you could give me some help on how to understand it more clearly. oh and i have looked for sewing/pattern understanding lessons where i live and online they just confuse me more. SO!
I'll start with Top A from 5016.1
. I know how to lay the pattern pieces out even though it might not be how it says in the directions. i pin them down to the fabric and cut around. now those little triangle notches on the ends, there's alot of them so i don't bother cutting those even though i probably should.2
. How do i get the little DOTS from the pattern onto the actual fabric?
EXAMPLE: "On OUTSIDE, pin loops to upper back, centering ends over small dots
and having raw edges even. Baste"
That's pretty much it.. the thing is, I can look at the pattern and see what needs to go where. All these so called 'directions' confuse me to death. The illustrations aren't much of a help either. Advice?
