1  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Re: Anyone up for a duct-tape dummy-along? on: May 06, 2006 07:53:55 PM
heee heee.. haven't been here for a while, so hi everyone!

i did one of these aaaaages ago with help from my mom.

i taped it down to my lower thighs and couldn't walk, so i had to hop! and i almost fell over, and almost made my mother wet herself from laughing so much.

the dressforms are soo handy, and even if you don't use them you can dress them up and get some ideas and it's bloody cheap too, just a few rolls of ducttape and an old nightshirt... and lots of patience too he he.

i'm going to make another one soon since i outgrew the other Smiley

hope everyone has fun!

ive seen tons of girls wearing these and even tried to make one meself, but where my butt kinda sticks out, i'm afraid it won't sit right on me.  i've looked online for them but i'm not quite sure what they're called.  they have pouches on both sides and look great on tiny skinny girls hehee heee.

peace!

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / You see this picture.... help........mmmmmmmmmm yeah on: December 24, 2004 04:39:13 AM

I know the flap (giggle) edges look a bit rough, and it doesn't make the bag/purse look horrible, but it's getting to the point where most of my bags look rough and all that.

the flap bit was too weird to turn over and hem, so i changed to a big zig-zag stitch and went on the edges, but it didn't seem to help   Sad

any advice on how you get the edges to look so neat?

thanks
