1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: 7x7ft Raccoon Mario Rug! on: November 05, 2009 09:50:02 AM
Thanks for the Excel file!

Anyone that is going to attempt this: Has anyone considered making it a blanket instead of a rug? I have hard wood floors and I can see myself flying across my living room (no pun intended). That and I would hate to put it on the floor lol
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Twilight Cross Stitch on: October 28, 2009 07:34:34 PM
I love xstich that looks like paintings =] This is wonderful!

I tried printing out the pattern but the I'll go blind with the PDF version and the website version is too large to print out. Any suggestions?

The pdf version should print out just fine from what I've heard from others.

The PDF version printed out pretty small for me and I can't really make out the symbols. I guess I could always sit by the computer (that's gonna suck for me lol) or use a magnifying glass. Thanks though for even making the pattern available!

I've been crocheting for years and I've never made anything more complex than an earband with a button-hole lol! This is beyond amazing. Anything Mario related is cool in my book. I've never thought of using granny squares for pixel images. Oh the possibilities...!

I love it, and started a granny square Mario-themed project of my own, inspired by yours.  I have a question, though.  As you were sewing the squares together, how did you determine what color of yarn to use when you had two different colored squares touching?

This is a really good question. Also, did you just whip stitch the squares together? (I think whip stitch is the right term...?)

And I'll be PM-ing you shortly =] Once again, this is awesome  Grin
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Busytown Birthday on: October 27, 2009 01:20:22 PM
If I wasn't sitting in a library right now I'd have a full on spazz attack. I loved Richard Scarry's Busytown as a child. This makes me so nostalgic :tear: Great job on everything!

Gonna have to go with the majority and say I also love the yellow dress. You've just inspired me to learn to sew lol!

It does look small on the pics.

I used Jo Sharp Alpaca Silk Georgette Yarn, it is beautiful yarn!!  I really love it.

I followed the pattern mostly, until the shaping armhole part, it is very confusing and doesn't make sense to me, I tried to follow it, but it didnt work, so I did my own way.  Thank god that they give you the schematic pic, so I can just follow the pic.

Thank you! This is definately going on my To Do List

I actually thought it was a baby sweater from the preview lol!! It looks so tiny in the pictures where its laid out flat. It looks absolutely gorgeous though. Good job!

Did you follow the pattern exactly or did you make any changes? And what yarn did you use?

These are beyond amazing! This was my absolute favorite story as a child. Any chance a pattern might be available? :hopes and wishes:
