I am trying to decide what kinds of pieces I should make for our local Spring Market Days and I hope to get some help from you all. The beadwoven pieces take much longer to make but I get more satisfaction from creating them. The strung ones, of, course are much faster to do. It is hard for me to figure out a balance when I have to have enough inventory for the market days. I have posted a hodgepodge of some of my work and would appreciate any comments you have to make... Any and all advice is appreciated!
I did bead weaving around the cabochon and also made the bail that way, but the remainder of the necklace is simply strung. I used some jasper, adventurine, moss agate, Czech fire polished crystals and Swarovski crystals. Now that I have finished, I am not so sure I like the way the necklace and cab look together. They almost seem mismatched even though the colors are perfect together. I guess it has to do with using the two vastly different styles of creating them. I really would like to know what you think... From reading other posts I know there are lots of wonderful discerning eyes out there! So what do you think? Am I being too hard on myself or is my opinion on the money?
