MareMare - it's just the top, not finished yet.  I wish it was though, the hardest part is finishing anything these days, lol!

suereal - I'm off to check that link right now, sounds so interesting!

Hey guys!  I am so proud!!  I have a small lap quilt top to show off!  Sadly,  I also have the world's worst photography skills so I promise this thing is cuter in real life.

I just need something to cover my legs when we're sitting, and I hate carrying a big blanket around with me all the time.  I'm going to use a thin batting or maybe even a piece of material so it's not too puffy.  Not sure about a backing yet, and I still need to trim it down and even it up, but I was so excited to share!

I don't know if you can tell but it's made up of 9 ten inch wonky log cabin blocks.  I am planning on getting better pictures of it, taken by someone else of course, when it's done.  I'm so excited I think I might finish it this weekend!

Wish I could help with a good pattern too but I made up my own last time I did a messenger bag...I don't follow patterns very well, which really limits me...it's a goal of mine this year to force myself to do it better.

I'm working on a series of zentangles for my living room wall.  I finished the first one yesterday but haven't taken pics yet (I know, shocking, right? Beth, not taking pics...lol).  I probably would have finished two instead of one but my hand was calling out for a doodle too!

Here's hoping I get time to sew today...even if it's just long enough to do the cell phone pouch I want to do...I miss my machine!!

I am working on a full size quilt right now and am not using my walking foot (even though I have a perfectly fine one).  The reason I don't like it?  I can't really pinpoint it...it just feels like I'm battling the entire quilt plus my machine when it's on.  I just use a regular foot and regular cotton thread.  It works for me, but that is because this isn't a project about perfection - I have to get it done before this weekend so my father in law has a warm enough blanket when he's here, so I don't have time to obsess about every little bunch and mistake.  I will say though that there is a lot of bunching and a lot of mistakes!

The moral of the story - if you can live with the mistakes and the possible bunching and wrinkling of your fabric, you don't have to use a walking foot or lower/cover the feed dogs.  If this is something you want to be super proud of and have it be as close to perfect as possible, I would not recommend doing it my way!

Am almost done with the quilting of a quilt that I never actually put on my list lol...it's a whole cloth quilt for my room.  I needed a break from the yellow and gray!

I have so many things to add to my list and not enough time to do it right!  Agh!  anyway, here's the other stuff I'm currently working on/getting ready to start...

-Quilted cell phone pouch
- whole cloth quilt
-fabric magnetic bookmarks
- quilted book cover(s)
- Owl fabric quilt or bag?  Must make a decision!

I'm still working on my perpetual calendar with the fused plastic bags for pages, but the weather hasn't stayed good long enough to get any outside done...I also have about seventy million things that need spray painted for my new room decor, but that's all gonna have to wait I guess.

Nooo, I just love your art work and everything you do!  I am so horrible about commenting you at your blog (somehow Craftster is just easier) but I have to say you are one of my favorite artists...thanks for sharing your stuff and inspiring us!

I can't wait to try this!  I may add some flax seed as well, and was thinking about different add-ins...I think raisins would be great, and maybe some dried apples and cinnamon...now I'm getting so hungry, lol!  Bookmarking this and will hopefully get to try it out soon.  Thanks!
