1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Wakko Warner from Animaniacs... now with COMPLETE pattern! on: January 23, 2012 09:51:45 AM
I love this little guy! Thank you so much for posting his pattern! Pinky and the Brain is a running joke between me and my boyfriend but his favorite character from Animaniacs is Wakko and I am so making this for his birthday in March. I'll post a picture when I'm all done before I hand him over Smiley Oh, and great work!

3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Sammach's Stationary Castle on: January 17, 2011 01:58:07 PM
This is such a great idea. Much nicer than those $10 "life size" cardboard houses the kids can color that I saw in my local Menards.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Jets sweater for teddy bear/doll on: December 12, 2010 06:00:04 PM
I made my mom a teddy bear wearing a Dallas Cowboys-inspired sweater for her birthday or Mother's day a few years back and she asked if I would make a Jets sweater in the same fashion, to send to a friend. I obliged and here's the result Smiley

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Zombie doll with dangling eye :) on: December 12, 2010 05:50:24 PM
My friend Melissa is just starting out tattooing and sent me a message saying she was looking for people to build up her portfolio and to spread the word, like a walking billboard Smiley Wanting another tattoo for a long time but never having the money, I jumped at the opportunity. Still not having extra money, I proposed a trade: I get a tattoo, she gets a zombie doll. This is what I came up with. I started with a basic garter stitch doll pattern, gray body and black legs. I used camouflage yarn for her hair, which is just looped through the garter stitches randomly. I used yellow cat's eye safety eyes and crocheted a basic ball for the dangling eyeball, which I attached to her head with a row of chain stitches. Her dress is an old pair of pink striped pajama bottoms cut into strips. For the skirt I looped a strip around her waist and tied more strips around that strip. For the bust part of the dress, I just wove some of the strips to make a sort of fabric and tied that halter-style around her neck and twice around her, under her arms. Melissa loved it and I've included a picture of the tattoo she did for me. I love it and think she did an awesome job!
