I am trying to NOT buy anything new and get stuff from my stash of fabric. I obviously have a lot of purple, and that's kinda weird for someone who isn't really "into" purple! ha! Anyhow, this is what came out of it Thanks for looking!
I even had a purple button, again that's just weird, LOL
This is the 2nd bag I've made using old retro curtain fabric. I wish I came across more fabric like this in my thrift store/garage sale shopping! This particular fabric is so unique that I could hardly wait to make something out of it. It's a heavyweight fabric. When I got the bag together, (a basic box shaped style) I noticed a stain in the fabric. I had washed it beforehand, but it wasn't super noticeable until I sewed it all together! Argh! Anyhow, I cut out the small stain where the bag makes a U-shape and was hoping it wouldn't screw it up. It worked out well though and I made a flap closure. Whatcha' think and thanks for looking!
Hi all, been awhile since I've posted in here. Anyhow, I finished this bag today and it came out so neat. I have several yards of suit fabric and paired it up with a pretty flowery blue fabric. It brings out the light blue thread in the suit fabric. Whatcha' think?
matching key fob, and you can see the suit fabric up close
padded pockets inside, and zippered pocket too, I finally figured that zipper stuff out! woo hoo, LOL
So, I have a "thing" for polka dots, and came across this fabric not long ago. The other fabrics went along with it perfectly. There are two large pockets on the inside, and the bag has a button closure. Really simple medium sized bag, whatcha' think?
I made this for a friend wanting a bag to hold her cross stitch frame. She says it fits perfectly Whatcha' think? I just love this fabric, it's "Absolutely Cotton" brand, they have come out with some really neat fabric lately!
Made a matching key fob, I've been so excited about trying my hand at these fobs! They are fun and I love how they go around the wrist! The fabric is Botanical Pop by Jackie Shapiro, I just love the colors!
I had been making curtains for our camper one day and HAD to make something purty in order to keep my sanity! The bag came out bigger than I intended and I came real close to making it smaller.
My cousin requested a diaper bag made in pink and black, so I gladly obliged She just loves it!!!! It is from a pattern, Bella Nonna, Happy Bag. I made a few changes to it. The directions were a bit "off", so if you ever come across that pattern, you'll know ahead of time
I quilted it, I did the "stitch in the ditch" thing and I've never done that before. So, it has the top layer, batting, muslin and the inner fabric. The bottom is quilted too.
