21  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Snow Day Gnomes on: December 16, 2016 08:56:12 AM
For the past couple of days we have been snowed in. I decided that I need some friends to help me enjoy the season so I made these little guys up last night. They were super duper easy to make. I seriously giggle every time I look at them.

22  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Elf on a....Tree? on: December 15, 2016 08:44:34 AM
I really wanted to do the whole elf on a shelf thing. Instead of buying one, I decided to make my own. I'm happy with the way she turned out. She was a lot easier to make than I thought and I can't wait to try other projects with felt. Her legs and arms are bendable (pipe cleaners) so I can sit her anywhere in the house.  Now, she just needs a name.

23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Fancy Christmas Tree Embroidery on: December 14, 2016 08:25:30 AM
I love this pattern. It is so swirly and fancy! Just perfect for my dear friend.
24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Christmas Cabin in the Woods Embroidery on: December 13, 2016 08:21:45 AM
I have a friend who has the cutest cabin in the woods. It is just darling, so I thought for Christmas I would stitch her up a little Christmas cabin hoop she can hang in her house.

25  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cozy Sweater embroidery on: December 13, 2016 08:18:35 AM
I stitched this up for a friend for Christmas. She lives in Texas and when a little winter hits, she is freezing so I thought she might need a reminder to stay warm on those 60 degrees nights.  Cheesy

26  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas Tree-Along 2016 on: December 07, 2016 03:25:07 PM
Are you putting up a Christmas tree this year? Let's see it!

We have a few around the house. This is our main one. We have two others and then a vintage ceramic one.

27  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Craftster Quickies: Table Top Christmas Trees on: December 04, 2016 07:46:28 AM
This month's Craftster Quickies was all about decorating for the winter season. These table top trees are so insanely easy to make. The big trees take about an hour to make. They remind me of gingerbread. I may need to make an entire scene around them. Check out the video for a complete tutorial! You can see it HERE.

28  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Let's Get Lost on: November 28, 2016 08:19:33 AM
I stitched up these little bunnies (they are from Sew Lovely) and thought that it needed a bit more so I wanted to add a quote. At first I was going to go snarky but I went sweet instead.

29  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Thanksgiving / Craftster Quickies: Glitter and Succulent Pumpkins on: November 07, 2016 08:36:08 AM
Dress up that fall table with glittery pumpkins and succulent pumpkins. They are super easy to make! The real pumpkin I used is still going strong and I plan on putting it in my garden once it goes south.

You can see how to make them HERE.

30  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Thanksgiving / Thanksgiving Projects that We are Thankful For on: November 04, 2016 01:02:45 PM
So  many times Thanksgiving gets overlooked. We are coming down from our Halloween high and planning for winter holidays. We at Craftster are so thankful for our awesome crafty members. They really keep us going. Below is just a small sampling of crafts from our Thanksgiving Board. Enjoy!

Celebrate the season with elegant decopage pumpkin decor like the ones posted by Craftster member, Mistress T. She creates this wonderful table display with just a few simple steps and does it without breaking the piggy bank. You can read more about it HERE.

No matter how many people you are having over this Thanksgiving, creating a buffet style setting can be easily done with Table Signs like the ones from Real Crafty Girl. These signs  will let your guest know exactly what is on the menu, which is great for those who have food allergies. If you use chalkboard paint, like she did here, you can use these for any occasion and for years to come. Check out this craft HERE.

What are you thankful for? Family? Good food? An endless craft supply? Whatever it is, show your thankfulness with this tutorial from newimagegal.  This is a great projects for the kids to do while dinner is being made. At dinner, everyone can wear a pin. You can craft names, events, whatever you are thankful for. If pins aren't your style, why not create a Thankful garland for the mantel. Check out the tutorial HERE.

Be sure to check out our Thanksgiving Board for inspiration, ideas and tutorials.
