I'm new to this section of the site, but I'm preparing to purchase my first embroidery machine and I want to make sure that I purchase the necessary machine/software so that I may be able to do the things I've been dreaming in my head.  One of the main things I want to do is this:






It incorporates fabric with embroidery.  I am wondering how this is done... is there special software that is used?  I've seen this technique all over the internet.

Hello all! 

I'm looking for some advice about an embroidery machine.  I sew with my regular sewing machine a few times a week, but I'm looking into purchasing an embroidery machine to do monograms on bags, clothes, etc.  I don't know much about what types of specs I should look for.  I do know that I want it to connect to my computer/laptop in order to create designs - but that is the extent of what I know!  I have checked out a Singer that seems to be pretty good, but I don't know!  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all!  I have been cutting and sewing on my own applique letters and shapes for quite a while now - using the zigzag as my main stitch for applying them to fabric.  Lately though, I have seen a lot of applique done like this:

I was wondering what kind of stitch this is?  I've looked all over my sewing machine and I can't figure it out. I have a fairly new sewing machine with many many functions. Is it a special stitch done with a monogramming machine or is there a special footer I can get??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Do you have a “homeless” iPod/Music Media Player or Camera?  Are you constantly trying to find a way to keep it from getting scratched/mangled/damaged in your purse or bag?  If so, this swap is for you!

***This swap is not limited to just those who own an "iPod"... any Music Media Player is fine.  Just be sure to specify what type you have when completing the swap questionnaire!***

This swap is for all of you who are looking for a fun and convenient way to store your iPod or Camera.  I know I am on the go a lot, and I tend to just throw things into my bag and go.  I’ve checked in stores to find the perfect cozy and I just haven’t found anything I really want.
Partners will be chosen by drawing names out of a bowl and each of you will craft the item for each other and then send!!  That’s it!  (There is also an option on the sign up form for you to choose to make and receive both types of cozy)

I would like to organize a swap for iPod/Camera cozys.  I am in need of a camera cozy and I'm sure there are others like me who need a safe haven for their camera or iPod when not in use.  Anyone think they would want to participate in something like this???

Hi everyone!  I need to create a wall mural and I was thinking about purchasing an inexpensive projector to reproduce the image I want.  I have a Hobby Lobby in my town and I was looking at a wonderfully priced projector called  "Projecta Scope".  I was wondering if any of you own one or have used one and can let me know if this would work for projecting an image large enough for a standard size wall?
