1  Embroidery Plus Fabric.. How To? in Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions by JustCheeky on: February 02, 2009 09:38:21 AM
I'm new to this section of the site, but I'm preparing to purchase my first embroidery machine and I want to make sure that I purchase the necessary machine/software so that I may be able to do the things I've been dreaming in my head.  One of the main things I want to do is this:

It incorporates fabric with embroidery.  I am wondering how this is done... is there special software that is used?  I've seen this technique all over the internet.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks and happy sewing!

2  Re: It's All Greek to Me Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by JustCheeky on: October 04, 2008 12:17:22 PM
Sorry for taking so long to post!  Here are my FABULOUS items from hgolightly09:

All of the items together. MY FAVORITE is the fleece owl pillowcase - I am in LOVE with this owl fleece - where is it from?!

Two owls - one she recreated from my wist as a stuffie and the other is a tree ornament - which is such a great idea!

A felt frame in Chi Omega colors, two paper owl cards and this so neat framed art of a tree made from our letters - what a great idea!

Thank you so much hgolightly09!  You were a fabulous partner!!

Here are the pics of my new cozy!  Estar23 did a fabulous job - this was her first time quilting, using bias tape and sewing a buttonhole.   She did so well!  Thank you!

She even threw in some extra fun covered buttons!!

6  Re: Completely Random Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by JustCheeky on: August 05, 2008 09:51:19 PM
Ok prepare yourselves - clovergrace REALLY outdid herself with my goodies! **Sidenote: I was SO excited when I got my box that I just ripped it all open and started opening packages and what not, then realized I should have kept it all "prettied up"till I took pics - it was beautifully wrapped and a lot of things that aren't in packages now, were at one time! Smiley

Here they are (lots of pics)...

All of my goodies

An array of post-it notes, note pads and cards, magnets, and my all time FAV - lil sharpie highlighters for my keyring (the yellow is missing b/c it's already on my ring!)

She made me a wonderfully bright quilted blankie and a matching reversible zippered pouch.  The pink and blue are handmade dishrags and she also threw in this copy of Alice in Wonderland!

These are so great!  Buttons with my business logo and owls!!  And an owlie Kilt Pin!

Some handmade jewelry....a button necklace, earrings and ring, an owl pendant and my FAV a fun sparkly ring from my wist!

Some scrabbletasticness - a password journal made from a scrabble board and a name plate made from scrabble letters with owls!!

An owl cutting board and cookie cutter and an owl painting that GLOWS IN THE DARK!!!

and my all time FAV....

A totally girlie apron with ruffly pockets!!

Thank you a million times clovergrace - you spoiled me and you were a fantastic partner!!

I received my FABULOUS pincushion from eukarya!

I'm totally in love.  I am an owl collector and this owl is cute, pink, and has glittery eyes!  Who couldn't love her?! Smiley

Thank you eukarya... I'm so happy with my little owlie!

8  Girly Ribbon Corkboard in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by JustCheeky on: June 19, 2008 08:30:13 PM
I got this idea to add ribbon to the edge  of corkboards after I paint them.  This is the first one I did (Chi Omega) and I just LOVE it!  I think one would be totally cute with a lot of bright colors and a big name going across it horizontally!
