3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Corset-back tee? on: September 25, 2010 12:59:09 AM
Hey, sorry if this is in the wrong place!
I'm wondering if it's possible to recon a t shirt and make the back be laced up/corset style? That's really unclear sorry, have a crummy doodle to confuse you some more!

If anybody gets what I'm saying, could someone tell me how to go about this?

Thanks so much!

8  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: What weird meals have you made while totally broke? on: July 24, 2010 11:45:54 PM
I have no job, study full time and don't know how to cook. [Did I mention that I'm 13? Wink] and when Mum isn't there to cook for me, I make my favourite weird food:

No Money Minute Muslei (Granola) Bars
Serves: as many friends as you can fit in the kitchen
Time: One minute prep, 18 minutes cooking time
Things needed: Anything that resembles cereal or a wheaty product, Any and all sweet spreads+ Buttery spreads, Yoghurt/Milk (Anything milky), Splenda (Fake Sugar, ridiculously sweet), A large bowl, a large tray and spray olive oil
Directions: Pour, spoon and crumble all ingredients into bowl. Mix with hands. Spread into well greased pan to a somewhat even level, let cook for 18 minutes. When cool, break off chunks and eat. OM NOM NOM

Some of the best and worst things that have gone into my minute muslei are:
Best- Peanut Paste and Jam, A gargantuan lump of brown sugar, chopped pieces of sugar cane (You can get it free where I live), dried grapefruit, Froot Loops
Worst- REAL muslei (When combined with my ingredients, tastes god awful), Goat's Milk, Melted Cheese and crushed up Saladas (Saltines), Unsweetened cream/yoghurt. Bleck!

Great for using up random half eaten foods, and it's all about trial and error!

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / The sneakiest craft fail in all the land. on: July 24, 2010 10:13:50 PM
-I didn't put this in stitch and botch because I plan on wearing the skirt in all it's fail-ey goodness-
So today, I set out to make a t-skirt. With a needle, thread and pair of crayola scissors in hand, I hand sewed myself a fancy tube of messy fail.
Then I put it on.
Wait, since when am I curvy, and since WHEN is my body not one straight line?
 Angry

Not knowing how to do a waistband, I reached for my school headband, made from elastic. And Voila! Secret failiure!

Pictures: (be kind, this was my first time sewing)
Front:

Back: (Charlie Chaplin butt. Tee hee! Oh, and note the fail of fabric lengths)

Sneaky headband waistband!:

Wink It's our little secret, right?
