1 ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Lego Swap!? on: June 16, 2009 05:15:02 PM
Me, Siesna, MsJamieLeigh, and Capt_Jordi were talking about maybe doing a Lego swap. We were throwing around some ideas: like themes, partners could pick a theme (Futurama!!!![someone needs to do a round2 swap, PLEASE], Family Guy, tv show, movies, useful lego stuffs, or whatever) or have it random or general Lego stuffs; you can only send a kit if its REALLY awesome.
I have some pretty cool Lego crafting ideas, and was wondering if anyone would be interested in participating in the swap. Capt_Jordi would have to organize as I don't think any of us others have met the requirements.

Some random crafting ideas: lego earrings (baseplate and you can build little things); lego frame; custom Lego minifigs (i'm getting pretty good at them)
2 POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Water Flame on: September 14, 2008 05:01:00 PM
A little sculpey based off of platinumfmd's image set of water flames, specifically this one. The match is Sculpey III and the "flame" is hot glue with a tiny bit of oil paint.

I wish the flame was more transparent so you can see the head of the burnt match; it looks MUCH better than the rest of the match. And it does look different in person; a lot less blue and it's a little more transparent and more detailed.

Here are a few pictures from a few angles:

3 POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / clear clay? on: September 08, 2008 07:53:50 PM
I'm trying to make umm something (its a secret, lol) that needs to be clear blue; basically water. But it needs to be moldable/sculptable. I want something really clear. I've tried searching around, but couldn't really find anything. The only thing that was really clear was Fiko Deko Gel, according to a few sites tests. So I was wondering if there is a clay or something, maybe epoxy, that would cure very clear.
4 POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / I gots a Free Man!...1-Up Mushroom on: September 07, 2008 05:13:31 PM
This is my first posting craft, but my 2nd and a half sculpture. My first was my little Pengy, which has now broken a flipper, and I've realized he looks kind of crappy. My 2nd is still a secret life size WIP, that I'm almost finished with (been working on it for about a year now, lol, just cause I'm lazy). And this is my newest little scuplture: A 1-Up Mushroom.
Used Sculpey III, with acrylic painted eyes (after a dremeling buffing accident with the scultped eyes), and glazed with Sculpey Glaze.

5 NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / i NEED to craft on: August 25, 2008 04:19:08 PM
I'm semi new, been lurking for a while away. I was referred by Capt_Jordi because of my need to make stuffs and she is always on craftster. So I need to craftster something. Preferably something nerd related (comics, games, computers, tv, comics. lol). And I miss all the good swaps like superheroes/comics and Venture Brothers. Yea, I think thats all
