Looks nice! I had a horrible time with this pattern, but you seemed to have a much easier time with it.
12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: replacing boning in a commerical corset? on: December 05, 2008 11:12:46 PM
I figured that would work, since I used to do that to remove underwires from bras, but then how do I close the casing back up so the new boning stays in?
13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / replacing boning in a commerical corset? on: December 04, 2008 10:08:08 AM
I have the "hollywood dream" corset from Fredricks of Hollywood, but it's a few years old and the plastic boning in it has taken on some funny and uncomfortable curves. I was wondering if it'd be possible to replace the messed up plastic boning with real steel boning, and if so, how to do it.
14  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: What are your bad sewing habits? on: December 02, 2008 09:59:14 PM
- Pins in the mouth, but everyone does it!
- Trying to see by just the tiny light on my machine
- Not pinning things together
- Not following pattern instructions/not marking pattern pieces
- Ironing on the floor
- Sewing/ironing in only bra and panties... I've gotten a few burns and pricks that could have been avoided with clothing
- Ignoring the grain
- Using a seam ripper instead of scissors

I'm sure there are more, but these are just things I've done in the past few weeks.  Smiley

the 3 feet in the last picture all (visually) match feet that I have for my singer, model 6212, but the bobbins don't match.

I have the plain curtains hanging on my windows right now! They look much better as a dress, and it looks great on you!
