1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Sewing pattern for cloche hats? on: April 18, 2008 11:04:53 PM
I'm looking for a pattern for a cloche hat, that isn't knitting or crocheting. I want to sew one. Does anyone know of a pattern I can use?

Thanks!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / "Stabilizer strip"? on: April 17, 2008 06:12:45 PM
Hey, everyone. I'm sorry if this is kind of a dumb question, but I'm making a purse (my first purse, no less) and the instructions say to use a "stablizer strip"-- what is that??

I thought maybe it was taking permanent stabilizer and cutting it into a strip, but I'm not sure. I also only have tear-away. Undecided

I briefly thought that perhaps you just take a strip of your fabric and stitch it on to stabilize, but that's probably incorrect.

Any help would be totally appreciated! Kiss
