3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Puppy Stampede on: January 16, 2006 05:48:31 AM
I was in Wal-Mart the other day, and they had fleece for $4.44 a yard. so I got a couple of pieces.  I used the pullover pattern from the Kwik Sew book Sewing for children.  I downloaded the puppies from here http://www.qis.net/~cpaulson/free.html

And here is DGD modeling it

Note designers touch on the left sleeve.

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / The Sew News Free Angel Project on: December 10, 2005 08:16:07 AM
This little beauty has been the cause of a great deal of excitement on the machine embroidery forums, but I've seen no mention of her here.

The free download is here

7  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 8 ENTRIES / Ornament display rack on: December 05, 2005 11:00:43 AM
My trip to True Value yielded a roll of re bar wire and a box of plaster

I cut the wire in various lengths, straightend out one end and hooked the other end.  Then I filled a flower pot with the plaster, let the plaster set up, then inserted the wire

The pot I had on hand, and the pine cones came off the tree in my back yard.  I had planned to use moss ripped off a rock, but we have 3 or 4 inches of snow on the ground

And here it is, holding my FSL ornaments

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / A Gift for my Neighbor on: December 03, 2005 11:01:17 AM
The old gentelman that lives across the street from me has been keeping my driveway and sidewalk plowed.  I'm going to buy him a gas card to help defray the cost to him.  But just the card seems too cold.  I'm thinking of including it in a fruit and/or cheese basket.  But, somehow, that seems kind of cold, too.  This is a very nice gentelman in his 80's, and I want to show my appreciation for his help.  I am a widow in my late 50's.  I do not want to make him think I'm interested in him.
9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Hoorah! Did I ever luck out! on: November 22, 2005 01:18:30 PM
I went shopping today, and I decided to go to Big Lots!  The store is going to close, so everthing was 20 percent off.  I got a Euro-Pro 416 for $80.00.  Yep, that's the same machine that's $189.00 over at Target.  I've been looking for a cheap, but good machine for a while, to do the dirty work on instead of doing it on my expensive computerized sewing/embroidery machine.
10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Lace Christmas Angel on: November 02, 2005 06:04:10 PM
This is my first free standing lace project.  A Christmas angel.  She was designed by Marie Osmond.
