1  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Eco Tote finished on: May 01, 2009 07:26:47 AM
I finished the pre-printed Eco-tote last night. I love how it turned out. So bright and colorful. It has been a while since I made something for myself, and this one is for me. I used all 6 strands of floss, I used split stitch, back Stitch, Stem Stitch, Chain Stitich (this was the first time I successfuly executed this stitch), Statin Stitch, and  French knots. Oh, and here eye and freckles are 3 strands of floss, but the outside of her eye is 6 strands.

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Gepetto and Pinocchio on: February 06, 2008 07:23:58 PM

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / What needle should I be using? on: October 25, 2007 12:04:59 PM
Okay, so I have been on an embroidery kick latley. I have done a lot of tea towels, and pillowcases, but I wanted to do a few onsies for my cousins baby shower.

So I put the stablizer on the back, ironed on my pattern and the eye of the needle is getting stuck in the fabric. I have to pull hard to get the needle through. Is that because it is stretchy material? I am using "embroidery needles" what should I be using? Just wondering if I was doing something wrong.  Huh

8  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Food Props-for a play-help on: September 05, 2007 08:48:58 AM
I am hoping that the lovely people of craftster can help me with a few ideas for the show that I am directing. I am directing Hay Fever. It is a British comedy by Noel Coward. In the third act breakfast is served. Eggs, bacon and haddock. Yes, fish. We cannot use actual real fish because of the smell. Does anyone have any ideas for other foods I can use for fish?

I hope this is in the right board. Thanks so much in advance.
