Your sewing looks amazing! I love the colors, the pattern you chose, everything! I must say that the picture of the small child/forepart is my favorite. Smiley

Hm...WOW!
I love what you did! I'm with you on sponge-painting...bleck! If I hear one more time "You can make your ceiling look like a cloudy sky..." Enough said.
I absolutely love the colors you chose. I can't believe such a wonderful space could have been so poorly mistreated.
I especially love the guestroom. So great!

With all of my beginnery whining, I don't think I mentioned that I am SO in.
I'm thinking of making a blanket for my boyfriend of some geeky video game thing. (Which he'd love, and so would I)

For those who are making blankets, how do you know how many squares of each color you need? I've tried knit-pro but it doesn't seem to be a good idea for granny-squares.
I'm really excited!

Thanks! I'll check it out. I completely forgot about youtube. I learned all the basic stitches from tutorials on youtube. Smiley

I'd check youtube for tutorials (oh, the free wonder of youtube!). I've seriously learned about a zillion new crochet stitches by youtubing it (I just searched for giggles, using 'how to crochet a granny square for beginners', and got a ton of hits). Crazy, huh? The granny I do most often is what I think of as the traditional granny (which are actually the ones in the pictures). They're pretty easy, and you should be able to pick it up in no time.

Beautiful! I love the pattern and the colors look so great with your hair.
This dress is so pretty!

My cousin has those American Apparel shorts. You did such a great job re-creating them! Especially since you don't like them. I find it very hard to make things I don't like even if it's for someone who loves them. Smiley

Oh it's beautiful! The dress is so great for the fabric. The pattern is really pretty too.

Thanks! I'm starting it as we speak! Mine is going to be green. Veerrrrry green.

I just finished mine today! Smiley
No pocket and I'm not the greatest with following directions, but it turned out well.
Thanks so much for the pattern!

Is there a granny-square that you would specifically recommend to beginners (like me)?
I'd love to make a blanket but all the granny-squares I've found are either very VERY granny-like or a bit above my level.
What about the ones in the picture?
Looking forward to this!  Smiley
