1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crocheted Corset -- Lined? on: October 13, 2008 02:06:36 AM
I am currently making a mock corset in crochet, vertical lines of rust and chocolate in Lion Brand Vanna's Choice yarn. I love this yarn, I wanted to use it for something special because I'm cheap. <3

Its going to go up and be fishnet in the breast area, the upper arms will have sleeves to the elbow (to hide the obvious problem area there) and then like, two inches of fishnet there just for accent.  (This corset is not really meant to be functional, obviously, because it is yarn and yarn does stretch and cap no matter the stitch!)

What I'm asking is that before I put the eyelets or whatever onto the corset, should I line it?  The other areas will not be lined obviously, but should I do it for added strength so the corset will be able to be tightened without gapping?
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Arizona Business Owners! Help! on: July 29, 2008 09:17:10 PM
I've recently relocated to Arizona from Florida. The change in state legislature is not to be reckoned with!

I am expected to apply for a tax id and business license to so much a sell something on Ebay, and I'm a little shaky with all this. Anyone else know if this is really necissary, and if it is, exactly how I would go about doing this?

Help me, fellow crafters! I know I'm a horrible lurker, but I just don't know where I have to begin!

Would I just apply for it at the court house the same day we go down to apply for a wedding license?
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet DRESSES? on: March 25, 2008 11:53:54 AM
I've started working on a crocheted dress, and I'm quite enthused. I'm my mind it all works perfectly, and its not even coming out badly--I'm just curious if anyone else has done this before.  Any hints or speculation?

Hopefully this dress isn't a complete disaster xD.
