ritapizza your towel is lovely!  I've finished my stitching for sew~amy's towel.  She had the VW/Camping theme.  I went with a classic Beetle.  I'm the last to stitch on it so I'll let her show you the finished towel!!

I've finished stitching on cupcakeguru's Halloween towel.  I used this pattern of a Trick-or Treater out of a huge iron-on transfer book I found at a flea market last year.  I just added the words on the bag.

Here's the towel so far with only one more person to stitch on it.

24  Christmas yet?? in Needlework: Completed Projects by fiberartsy on: November 09, 2009 04:18:29 PM
I've started my Christmas gifts.  Like last year, folks will mostly be getting handmade things this year.  I've started with these two sweet patterns from Aunt Martha's; Little Angel and Choir Boy.  They will probably be made into ornaments.

I thought she needed to be stitched in cotton candy colored thread.

He's too cute.
Thanks for looking!

27  Halloween kitchen towel in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by fiberartsy on: October 29, 2009 06:39:57 PM
I decided I needed a Halloween towel for my kitchen so I deided to use these Sublime patterns to come up with something.  I used three sets to make this, Gothic Granduer, Monsters and Zombies and Vital Organs.  I really like how it turned out!

I love the zombies.

And the creepy corners...

Here it is all together.

Thanks as always for taking a look!

Here's what I've added to fabricfriend's towel.  She said she liked Day of the Dead and kitschy religious as themes. I went with the classic bleeding heart.  I totally love it and hope fabricfriend does too!

The towel so far.

30  Coraline items in Needlework: Completed Projects by fiberartsy on: October 23, 2009 06:51:39 PM
I wanted to share what I made for my partner for the Coraline swap.  I'm really pleased with everything.  First I did some ornaments--the embroidered ones are of Wybie and a rag doll Coraline.

I found this cute little rag doll pattern from the vintage craft book I picked up at a thrift store.

Then I did a two-sided pillow.  First side has Coraline going through the tunnel to the other side and I added the button key.

The other side has the Other Mother and the three little ghost children--kinda creepy.

I'm so pleased with this pillow.  I worked a long time on it and hated to give it away!
Thanks for looking!
