I call dibs on Hello Kitty and Jack Skellington!   Cheesy

these mitts are long.  that's just what I (and my mother) need!!!!!!!!  the ones she has are too short and she keeps burning herself.

great job on these by the way.

Why thank you Smiley  I have really long arms, so short mitts are a no no in my kitchen, hehe.

I've been trying to come up with new things to craft, so this time it's oven mitts.  I have been making them in every cool fabric I can get my hands on, hehe.  They have insulated batting in them which works pretty good I must say. Wink

That is absolutely AMAZING!!!  I'm half considering making one, but I don't think I have the patience...  I know I don't have the glitter, hehe.  Grin
7  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / New veg has some questions on: March 17, 2008 06:17:17 PM
I've been toying around with the idea of vegetarianism for a looong time, but I'm really picky so it hasn't gone very far.  That is until my new doctor informed me that my cholesterol is super high.  Right now I'm still eating a little meat (usually when we eat out), but if all goes well & I discover more yummy veggie things then maybe I'll go veg full time.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had a recipe for "ground beef"?  I like the Morningstar Farms crumbles, & I got some Yves to try, but I can see that getting expensive over time.  I bought some TVP, but I don't know exactly what to do with it.  Do I just fry it up or what?

I've seen a lot of recipes with chickpeas, but I've never had them.  This may sound dumb but... what do they taste like?

I think that's it Smiley   If anyone has any "meaty" veg recipes or picky person ideas, I'm open to suggestions.  Thanks!

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Reupholstered computer chair :) on: August 31, 2006 03:57:13 PM
No, it wasn't hard to do at all!  All I did was measure the widest part of each section (front, back, seat, & the arms) and make a square out of that on the fabric.  Then I pinned it to the chair & snipped off the excess & stapled the heck out of it, I hot glued the front & back.

err, I'm not too good at explaining things...  but I think that makes sense  Huh
