4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Let the Wild Rumpus Start! Max's wolf suit hoodie on: October 15, 2009 05:25:27 PM
Where the Wild Things are has been one of my favorite books since I was a little one.  I'm now a children's librarian, and I read it at least once a week in preschool storytimes.  I've been wanting a wolf suit for awhile, and the movie seemed like the right time to break out a cuddly, wolf suit hoodie.

Bashful wolf.

Gnashing my terrible teeth and showing my terrible claws.

This horrible in-mirror picture shows the removable claws, so that I can actually do things with my fingers while wearing the hoodie.

I'm really happy with how it turned out, though the claws took a couple of tries.  I am going to wear it to the library tomorrow and, of course, when I go see the movie.

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Pretty Puff Slouchy Hat UPDATE: Pattern added on: September 27, 2009 03:06:22 PM
In rows 6-8, the directions say 6: ch 3, 1 dc in each st around. Join. [60].  Am  I supposed to chain 3 before every dc?

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Pretty Puff Slouchy Hat UPDATE: Pattern added on: September 26, 2009 10:00:28 PM
I tried  to make this hat, using bulky yarn and the hook suggested, but it is way too small for an adult head.  Any thoughts on this?  Also, I wonder if maybe i did something wrong, as there doesn't seem to be as much space between my stitches as in others.  When the pattern says to chain, are you chaining before each stitch?  Thanks for any help.
