Oh mmy goodness I am having such bad luck with this swap! (On my end.  I love what I got!)  My scanner is not cooperating, so I'll have to wait for my husband to get home to tell me what I'm doing wrong.  But I've been such a slacker and really wanted to get a photo up so here is a picture of the frame mermaid melanie sent me.

The picture really doesn't do it justice.  She carefully selected images from what looks like a birding magazine and stuck them to the frame.  I love it!  Scans of my favorite photos she sent me to be posted later today!

3  Re: Charm Swap in The Swap Gallery by franaroon on: March 31, 2009 04:22:52 PM
My husband and son barely gave me enough time to out together my display, so there was no way I was going to be able to post pictures of each individual charm.  If any one wants to see a close up of any of them, just let me know. The first pic shows the box and those beads on top allow me to turn the different strands so I can look at any side of any charm.

The second is the from the other angle and shows the charms a little closer
EDIT- just realized I had the same pic twice.

I wanted to make a way to present all of the charms constantly, because I knew I wouldn't wear the bracelet that often, and it probably would have been a bit cumbersome anyway.

I loved everyone I got and am hoping for another charm swap to add even more.   Grin

Wow I missed a lot!  It's amazing to see the variety, I want one of each!

Here is the mirror I sent molliemoo...

I used fabric and ribbon to cover it.

And here is the one she sent me!

It's adorable!  It will go great in my son's room.

I'm finally getting around to posting pics!  There's no way I could have taken great pictures of EVERYTHING kevsbabe packed into my box, so I tried to get representative pics of everything.
Inside the LARGE flat rate box, there was the overstuffed 30 oz flat rate box, another stuffed box she had made, and more extras piled on top of the2 boxes!
The box she made, full of things...

I don't know how she did the insides, but it's really neat.
Everything she packed into the 30 oz box.  Love the LEGO magnets!

And all the extras that were included... The Christmas tin has more beads and findings inside.

I loved everything and loved this swap!  Can't wait for another one to come up!

I wish I had a picture as beautiful as all of yours, but I cannot find my camera.  So a cell phone picture it will be...  Feel free to post additional pictures if you want to, paintindiva.

The stitching she did is beautiful and the fabric is amazing!

I have received my final two!
The first is from gossamer_gull.  I love everything about it, from the tiny paper embellishments to the technique used.  Yes, gossamer_gull, I believe you managed capturing a modern romance/reading them very well!

The second is from belladune.  It is a water color of the cabin from Nicholas Sparks book (and now film) Nights in Rodanthe.  I have read the book, but haven't got to see the movie yet.  I think it was beautifully done!

I'm happy to have received them all, but sad that I will not have any more to look for in the mailbox!  I'll have to join up if this swap runs again.

I received from naggie_maggie today!  I love the technique she used, but not sure how she did it!
Side 1:

Side 2: (with a pencil for size comparison)

I was amazed she actually picked 2 quotes from Dean Koontz books I have read, since he has so many!
