1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Scrabble Tile Pendants on: December 17, 2008 09:35:35 AM
This was my first try doing the scrabble tile pendants, and I think they turned out really well! This was also my first time ever using resin, so I was a little nervous, but it worked fine. I really love these, and I'm making a new batch this weekend.

(I forgot to get an artsy picture of this one... o.O)

DON'T LOOK PAST THIS POINT IF YOU ARE MY SWAP PARTNER!!!!!!!!!!!

Over all I really like these. I'm going to start using photos I've taken for the pictures and sell them on my etsy I think. They were really easy and fun to make.

Let me know what you think!

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Supernatural Themed Magnet Board on: July 28, 2008 08:42:30 PM
I did this as my large object for a craft swap, and I loved it so much I didn't want to send it.. So I'll have to make one for me.. until then, I'll show it all to you!

Its a personalized magnet board, made from scratch... literally from a long piece of wood, some sheet metal and paint.

I only have one picture for you, sorry. next time I'll take photos of the whole process.

I also made marble magnets to go with it.
3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Team Edward Twilight Shirt- freezer paper on: July 27, 2008 08:16:07 PM
I'm going to a BD party in a different state than I live because I have to go to a stupid family reunion that weekend, so instead of bringing a big dress I decided to just make a shirt for the party. I'm a huge edward supporter, so a "Team Edward" shirt seemed right. ^.^ (because sparkly men rule). It took some time to cut all of the little deconstructed pieces of the lettering out, but I think it was worth it, because it looks awesome and kinda vintage. Lol

It says "Team Edward" and "Because he sparkles" underneath in silver paint.

Let me know what you think

(ps. I'm with the vamps. ^.^)

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Ruffled skirt (First recon and first patternless project) (photo moderate) on: June 10, 2008 08:42:06 AM
Note: I've sewn for years, but that was when I was like 11 and was working with my mom or grandmother. This is actually my first completed project on my own.

So my mom decided that she was going to give a bunch of her old clothes to good will. Me being the crafter that I am decided to talk her into letting me choose what I wanted to keep. This is my first recon of many that will be taking place over the summer.

Pattern: I just kinda winged it, and changed my vision as I went along.. It originally was going to be a pencil skirt. Lol

After: (ignore how bad/fat/ugly I look.. it was late)
front

back

Before: I had already cut the legs before I remembered to take a before shot.

The fabric has a really nice pattern to it, but these photos were taken with a cellphone by my mom who apparently has issues holding the phone still enough.

I'll get some better shots with a real camera when I have time.

Let me know what you think.

Edited because the pants looked funny on the front page. ^.^'
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / The Director - Freezer Paper stenciling on: May 25, 2008 07:11:15 PM
I'm a big Halloween Horror Nights fan (If you don't know what it is, its the BEST halloween event in the US), and I always get their shirts. But, my favorite Icon is The Director, and there aren't many shirts from the last few years that feature him as much as some of the other icons. So, I decided to make my own.

This was my first design with a face, and it was complicated. I simplified it down as i was working on it, because I got pissed off at the little details. ^.^

6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Evil Giraffe Shirt on: April 27, 2008 06:50:38 PM
I am an evil giraffe, and I shall eat more leaves from this tree then prehaps I should, so that other giraffes may die

This is my second shirt done with stenciling.

I think a "cake or Death" shirt is in the works.

I first tried to do it in lime-green, but it seemed like it was too weird, so i went over it in metallic teal. somehow the green spread a little, but its awesome because it all has a green border. it worked out really well!
7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Firefly/Serenity Browncoat shirt [First stencil attempt ever!] on: April 26, 2008 09:12:15 PM
This is my first time attempting to use stenciling, and I used the freezer paper method with acrylic paint.

Its not totally finished yet. The back is currently drying, where it says "Browncoat".

For those of you that don't know the show/movie, the symbol on the front means "Serenity"

the image is not white, its more cream-tan-brown colored, but the flash is washing it out.

The shirt is just an old kohls shirt, and the paint is from like 8 years ago. but it worked really well!

action shot!

I'll post more pictures once the back is done! Thanks for looking, and I'm so proud of this project!

More shots located on my blog: http://knitting-blog.blogspot.com/2008/04/first-t-shirt-stenciling-attempt-ever.html
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Autumn Scarf (picture heavy) on: April 15, 2008 03:19:02 PM
I made this scarf on a whim, just to do something quick. I got the yarn in the clearance bin in a local craft store. it was selling for 4 bucks a skein, when its usually like 10 a skein i think. Elsebeth Lavold Angora yarn. I held two strands together, the cloudberry and robin red, and used size 13 needles. It went really quick and its SO fuzzy. I added the leaves a few weeks after, using light green (I think it was lime green) of the same yarn. The berry is wool, because I didn't have any red angora in my college stash.

Ignore the messy room. I was sick this weekend and I've been too tired to clean it up

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Podmione on: April 14, 2008 02:44:09 PM
So, i decided to be a nerd with my leftover hatmione yarn and I decided to knit an ipod case.

Its basically a modified version of the mitten pattern. It was really easy to make, and its perfect for my ipod. Although, i must say, It is odd matching my ipod case to my hat..
